Kavana, born Anthony Kavanagh on November 4, 1977, in Moston, Manchester, England, emerged onto the music scene in the summer of 1996. Known for his energetic performances, he gained prominence through various roadshows and a tour with Boyzone. His career spanned four years, marked by numerous chart-topping hits and worldwide success with songs such as "I Can Make You Feel Good," "MFEO," "Will You Wait For Me," and "Thank You."
In an effort to evolve his sound, Kavana traveled to the USA to collaborate with renowned producers. However, a family crisis compelled him to return to the UK for a year. Upon his return to the States, he teamed up with music producer and writer Ansible Deliria, resulting in some of his most remarkable recordings. He spent a year showcasing these songs in small venues across LA, garnering attention along Hollywood Boulevard.
In 2006, these songs were refined and copyrighted. During this time, Kavana ventured into acting, securing a role as "Will" in the show "Hollyoaks in the City." Following the show's filming, he participated in "An Audience With Take That" and seized an opportunity to join Jools Holland's tour after reconnecting with Lulu. His performances during the tour were well-received, culminating in a successful Christmas show in Birmingham.
Having returned to Manchester for a well-deserved Christmas break in 2006, Kavana looked ahead to an eventful 2007. Engaged in discussions with record labels and managements, the year held promise for Kavana and his newly penned music. His first public appearance in 2007 was in January's "ATTITUDE" magazine, offering an intriguing insight into his ventures. Updates and previews of his work were made available on his official web page, including snippets from his "Hollyoaks in the City" debut.
He showcased his talent further by participating as a contestant on "Grease Is the Word" on April 7, 2007. Kavana progressed to boot camp where he was paired with Alison Crawford. Their performances impressed the judges, securing them a spot in the finals. Despite Crawford's elimination, Kavana emerged as the runner-up in the competition on June 9th.

what a shame that you can't control your jealousy
i know you better than you might think
i know you better than anyone, anyone
it's time to stop 'cos you're gonna sink
you played your game but you played it wrong, played it wrong
it doesn't take a fool to spot your insecurity
i'm hearing all these strories you've been telling all this time
i've had enough of your scheming lies
chorus:
take a look at what you're doing, it doesn't matter to me
what a shame that you can't control your jealousy
everybody's got a story that is waiting to be told
what a shame you never control your jeaoulsy
i never guessed for a long long time
i never realised you were no friend of mine
what a shame that it's come to this
you started something and now you're gonna finish it
i heared it from another you've been talking obout me
it doesn't take a fool to spot your insecurity
and i can't take no more of it cos i'm gonna blow my cool
and now you're gonna stop because you know you're gonna lose
repeat chorus
to fade:
take a look, take a look now
take a look, take a look at me
take a look, take a look at your jealousy
everybody is getting at me
jealousy
jealousy
repeat chorus
Kavana's song Jealousy is about the destructive force of jealousy and how it can ruin friendships and relationships. The song has an upbeat pop sound that contrasts with the serious nature of the lyrics. The singer of the song is addressing someone who has been talking about them behind their back and spreading lies. The singer urges this person to stop their jealous behavior before it causes them to lose everything.
The lyrics make it clear that the singer has had enough of this person's negative behavior and is not interested in being friends any longer. The chorus repeats the phrase "take a look at what you're doing, it doesn't matter to me, what a shame that you can't control your jealousy." This highlights the fact that the singer has moved on and is not concerned with what the other person is doing or saying.
The line "everybody's got a story that is waiting to be told" suggests that the singer is confident in who they are and knows that they have nothing to hide. The song ends with the repeated phrase "jealousy" as if to emphasize the destructive power of this emotion.
