Crossfire
Kay Kay and the Rays Lyrics

Blinded by the neon lights
Hurry here, hustlin' there
No one's got the time to spare
Money's tight, nothin' free
Won't somebody come and rescue me
I am stranded, caught in the crossfire
Stranded, caught in the crossfire
Tooth for tooth, eye for an eye
Sell your soul just to buy, buy, buy
Beggin' a dollar, stealin' a dime
Come on can't you see that I
I am stranded, caught in the crossfire
I am stranded, caught in the crossfire
I need some kind of kindness
Some kind of sympathy, oh no
We're stranded, caught in the crossfire
Save the strong, lose the weak
Never turning the other cheek
Trust nobody, don't be no fool
Whatever happened to the golden rule?
We got stranded, caught in the crossfire
We got stranded, caught in the crossfire
We got stranded, caught in the crossfire
Stranded, caught in the crossfire
Help me
The lyrics of "Crossfire" by Kay Kay and the Rays depict the struggle of everyday life and the feeling of being trapped and stranded in the middle of it. The song is an anthem for those who are struggling to make ends meet and are caught in the chaos of modern society. The lyrics describe the everyday hustle and bustle, the struggle to make money, and the constant need to compete and survive in a world that is unforgiving and unkind.
The first verse sets the scene of the song, with the singer describing how they are blinded by the neon lights and caught up in the rush of everyday life. The second verse highlights the desperation of the situation, with the singer describing how they are willing to do anything to survive, even if it means selling their soul or begging for money. The chorus repeats the phrase "stranded, caught in the crossfire" to emphasize the feeling of being stuck in the middle of a situation they cannot control.
The bridge of the song provides a glimmer of hope, with the singer calling out for kindness and sympathy from those around them. However, the final verse brings the song back to reality, with the harsh truth that in a world where the strong survive and the weak are left behind, nobody can be trusted and the golden rule no longer applies.
Overall, "Crossfire" is a powerful commentary on the struggles of modern society and the feeling of being trapped in a world that can be cruel and unkind.
