The lyrics of Kazik na Żywo's song "Legenda Ludowa" speak about the decay of democracy and freedom of speech in a particular region. The first stanza talks about how the last ship is leaving, and once it's gone, nobody can leave anymore. There will be sorrow and grief, but that won't make a difference. The democracy of the region is dead, and certain people flushed it down the toilet. The land is in ruins and the only ones left are those who suffer. The singer of the song is being beaten by a homeless man, who represents the overall suffering of the region's populace. The man wants revenge because the singer is from outside the region, and therefore he has no understanding of their plight.
In the following verses, the song talks about the last plane leaving the region and how those who want to flee have to leave their homes behind. The freedom of speech has been killed and is hiding in fear. The advertisement in foreign countries still shows how great the region is, but the reality is quite different. The rule of law is in tatters, and the only saving grace is that the outlaws do not rob anyone who doesn't deserve it.
The song's final verse speaks about the last sage leaving and how the air in the region is stale and unhealthy. The republic is dead, and the soldiers in the palace defecate in golden toilets. The last just man is also leaving, and nobody will notice because nobody cares. The song ends with the chorus repeating that these are not the singer's words – it's just a local legend.
