So grateful for Elder Yamashita’s talk. Long have I wrestled with my own patriarchal blessing and yearned for a more recent and inspired talk on how to interpret it

Between Elder Yamashits's talk and Elder Bennet's talk from the day before it has given me new meaning to mine that I got back in 1971. I had been struggling with trying to understand it but now has more clarity.

I'm now seeing just how inspired by God the patriarch who gave me my blessing was. It says things about me that no one but myself would know. It contains powerful and consoling wisdom that has helped me for many years.
I was even asked by dear friend who I believe was in my ward at the time years ago to go with this person to receive their own patriarchal blessing. If I remember right, it was by the same man who gave me my wonderful blessing. This person's blessing was way different than mine was. It was filled with wisdom as well, but was quite blunt, when it came to keeping God's commandments, and being faithful to him. I could hear God's warning voice raised.
This person eventually left the church, unfortunately. This has taught me a lesson on just how important God's words are, and that we should always be striving to love God and mankind the best we can.
Whoever you are, and wherever you live, if you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, you should prayerfully prepare to get your own patriarchal blessing, when the time is right. It really helps!

God bless you all!
