Kiryu literally punched two tigers into submission and fought 100 yakuzas by himself. I don't think yagami has any feat even close to one of these, the only person who comes close or even straight up is capable of defeating kiryu is saijima.
Cman
@Metro but Kiryu also doesn't have intent on killing Majima when fighting him, so your theory doesn't make sense. Saejima (who is considered as equal to Kiryu interms of strength) also beats him couple of times, so Majima definitely isn't stronger than Kiryu. I'd say he's about the same strength as Mine or Ryuji.
Cammy
Kiryu also has actually learned how to fight, while yagami self taught himself martial arts. Boxing is really the only thing he's learned. Kiryu has the strength and experience. I believe the only people who it could go either way with kiryu would be Saejima, majima and Mine(from 3)

And fought 100 men in Lost Judgement (with help)

Yagami also fought a tiger
MythicRanger
@00 3 months late, but just pointing out that Majima never took any of his fights with Kiryu seriously and was just having fun
UnderGamer
You could also use the scene of Kiryu breaking a stone statue with his bare hands and not even flinching, or the scene of him getting a wine bottle broken over the back of his head and not flinching, or Kiryu getting hit in the head by Ichiban and not flinching, you get the point. Yagami gets the shit beat out of him. Kiryu does not.

or getting slammed with a pipe at like 80 mph and not shattering his arms BEFORE he was a yakuza legend

@The END kiryu dodged 2 rockets up close, so his reaction time is above everyone in yakuza

and when Ichiban punched his head, he was the one who actually felt pain on the hand
