Don't Think Twice It's All Right
Ke$ha Lyrics

It ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
It don't matter, anyhow
And it ain't no use to sit and wonder why, babe
If you don't know by now
When your rooster crows at the break of dawn
Look out your window and I'll be gone
You're the reason I'm traveling on
Don't think twice, it's all right.
It ain't no use in turning on your light, babe
That light I never knowed
And it ain't no use in turning on your light, babe
I'm on the dark side of the road
But I wish there was somethin' you would do or say
To try and make me change my mind and stay
We never did too much talking anyway
So don't think twice, it's all right.
It ain't no use in calling out my name, gal
Like you never done before
It ain't no use in calling out my name, gal
I can't hear you any more
I'm a-thinking and a-wond'rin' walking down the road
I once loved a woman, a child I'm told
I give her my heart but she wanted my soul
Don't think twice, it's all right.
So long honey, babe
Where I'm bound, I can't tell
Goodbye's too good a word, babe
So I'll just say fare thee well
I ain't saying you treated me unkind
You could have done better but I don't mind
You just kinda wasted my precious time
But don't think twice, it's all right.

She did this in one take by herself on her MacBook. Makes it even more incredible. When Kesha was shopping around her demo, she had two versions of herself. One is the version we hear on the radio, the other was more like this track. The studios picked the version we ended up with. Luckily we still get glimmers of beauty like this from her though.

I was raised on Bob Dylan, and on very little pop. But I appreciate people for all genres of musical talent. But for any artists of any genre to perform a cover to a Dylan song to this great extent is a rare an extreme occasion. I have maybe never heard a song covered with such wall deep emotion it's as if she wrote every word of it herself or her own life. And anybody who doesn't recognize that, is just being hypocritical or stuck up. Get over yourself!

I don't understand why people would dislike this!!! This is truly beautiful! You can hear that she put a lot of emotion into this! <3

I'm pretty sure she was crying as she recorded this. It's beautiful.

It's because you also need to have talent to go along with the 'emotion'

I get what you mean - I can see how some people would find this emotionally overwrought - but listening to this and her cover of Ain't Me Babe has certainly given me more respect for her as an artist.

Dogmatil

because people like different stuff. I liked her cover of Dylan's "it ain't me babe". but I don't enjoy this cover.

If you guys don't know Kesha is a long time Bod Dylan fan, she is covering a lot of songs of him in her new tour. She is an extremely emotional person, she was given that song to cover and I think she nailed it.
