Keigo Hoashi's song Emil is an instrumental piece that doesn't have any lyrics but rather uses vocalizations to create an otherworldly feeling. These vocalizations are in the form of the words Luvha Dume, Duhara Menua Lusi, Duayi Ale Musui Halu, Duarumani Kurigame Naque na e a Woejou, Lapagirenu Zeye, and Echo Songu Melavi. These words are not in any known language, yet their repetition and the use of emphasis on certain syllables creates a sense of urgency and importance.
The use of the vocalizations in Emil along with the haunting melody of the song creates a sense of nostalgia for something unknown. The song feels like a longing for a place or a person that once existed in a distant memory. Despite the lack of lyrics, the song still manages to evoke a range of emotions.
Overall, Emil by Keigo Hoashi is a hauntingly beautiful instrumental piece that stirs feelings of longing for an unknown entity through the use of vocalizations that are not in any known language.
Line by Line Meaning
Luvha Dume
The repeated use of the nonsense phrase 'Luvha Dume' serves as a foundation for the song and helps to create its unique sound and rhythm.
Duhara Menua Lusi
This line may be translated to mean 'the world is full of pain and suffering'. It reflects the often difficult and sometimes painful experiences that are part of the human condition.
Duayi Ale Musui Halu
This line may be interpreted as meaning 'we are all searching for happiness and contentment'. It acknowledges the universal desire for a fulfilling life and the struggle that can come with trying to achieve this.
Duarumani Kurigame Naque na e a Woejou
This line may be a reference to a specific experience or feeling, but it is ultimately open to interpretation. It adds to the dreamlike, otherworldly quality of the song.
Lapagirenu Zeye
This line, like the previous one, is difficult to translate definitively. It may be meant to evoke a feeling or an image, rather than having a specific semantic meaning.
Duarumani Kurigame Naque na e a Woejou Koici
This line is a variation on an earlier one and contributes to the sense of repetition and cyclical movement in the song. It also reinforces the idea that this is a dreamlike state that we are being invited to explore.
Echo Songu Melavi
This line is likely another non-sensical phrase that contributes to the overall sound of the song, rather than having a specific meaning.
Armo Neso Ento Musui Halu
This line once again acknowledges the universal desire for happiness and the inherent difficulties that come with trying to achieve it. It may also reference the idea that true contentment comes from within, rather than from external circumstances.
Armo Neso Eni Mesi Maha
This line may be translated to mean 'we are all searching for meaning and purpose'. It reflects the belief that a fulfilling life is one that has a sense of purpose and direction.
Armo Neno Hema Mutalus
This line may be interpreted as meaning 'we are all seeking a sense of belonging and connection'. It acknowledges the importance of relationships and community in our lives.
Sihahaul Haulti Mela Sinuwa
This line, like several others in the song, is difficult to translate definitively. It may be meant to evoke a feeling or an image, rather than having a specific semantic meaning.

I didn't even know there was a piano collection album for Nier until this video. Very nice. Nier definitely has one of, if not the best soundtrack out of any game I've played in the last few years. I'm looking forward to seeing what the composers will work on next...

I'm a FF Music Fan but I'm really amazed by the composers of Nier. Even though I've never play this game before, the music did really touch my heart and made me want to play this game so badly. It's hard to see such great music in recent video games title. Well done :DD
