All Around The World
Keith & Kristyn Getty Lyrics

All around the world the kingdom cry resounds
From mountain town to desert plain,
From city to the shore.
Truth will not be bound by walls upon the earth.
From every nation, tribe and tongue
God calls his people forth

All praise to the king
Of the new jerusalem
Where all of the saints w
Ith one voice will worship the lamb
Will forever worship the lamb

Restless is the world, unchanging is his word
Unshaken is our confidence
In christ the risen lord
All who bear his name unite to breathe as one
We share the joys and pains we face
And pray 'his kingdom come'

Boldly we proclaim the power of the cross
In every language, art and deed
We tell the wonder of grace
Then when christ returns, his church will rise adorned
With treasure brought from every land
To glorify the lord

Overall Meaning

Keith & Kristyn Getty's song All Around the World is a bold declaration of God's kingdom being present everywhere around the world. The song starts with the statement that the kingdom cry resounds all around the world, from the mountains to the shore, which means that nothing can hold down the power of God's kingdom. The lyrics express the idea that regardless of any barriers, including race or language, God's people all around the world are united, and they are called forth to do God's work. The song also acknowledges the suffering people face in this world, but the confidence lies in the belief that God's unchanging word, as found in Christ the risen Lord, will always be the source of strength and joy.

The song highlights the idea that Christianity is a global faith and that followers of Christ can found around the world. It also expresses the belief that the church has an important role to play in making sure that the kingdom of God prevails on earth. The song ends with the hope that when Christ returns, the church would be fully adorned with treasure brought from every land, which signifies the completion of God's work through His people. Overall, the message of the song is that God's kingdom is present all around the world, and Christians have the responsibility to reveal this truth to the rest of the world.

The lyrics... glory to you Jesus.

I sang this song in a church choir when I was ten and loved it so much. Six years later I had totally forgotten about it until I discovered it in the church music, I learned to play it on piano and last Sunday I played it for the church as they sang. Crazy how things work out in the end.
