Apples and Bananas
Keith Urban Lyrics

Oh, I love to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas
I love to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas
And I love to ate, ate, ate epples and banenes
I like to ate, ate, ate epples and banenes

And I like to eat, eat, eat eepples and baneenees
I like to eat, eat, eat eepples and baneenees
Well, I like to ite, ite, ite ipples and baninis
I like to ite, ite, ite ipples and baninis

Well, I like to ote, ote, ote, opples and banonos
I like to ote, ote, ote, opples and banonos
And I like to ute, ute, ute upples and banunus
I like to ute, ute, ute upples and banunus

Well, as you've guessed, these are all the vowels
There's A, E, I, O and U
And now I need you to help me out
I need you to make a sound like a tuba
You can do it with your mouth
A tuba sounds like this, okay?

Then maybe we can add some percussion noises like this
Now we're gonna add some finger snaps and a hand clap like this
Excellent, now you're gotta repeat after me
A, E, I, c'mon I, O and U
All together

Well, I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas
I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas, everybody!

I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas
Well, I like to eat, eat, eat apples and bananas

Overall Meaning

Keith Urban's song "Apples and Bananas" is a remake of a popular children's song. The song is all about vowels and their sounds. Urban uses the song to teach young children the different sounds each vowel makes while also creating an enjoyable and catchy melody. The song does not necessarily have a deep or complex meaning, but it serves as a fun and educational tune for young children.

Urban starts off by singing about his love for eating apples and bananas, but as the song progresses, he replaces the vowels in "apples and bananas" with other vowels, creating a fun and playful tongue-twister. He asks the listeners to help him out by making sounds like a tuba and adding percussion noises, making the song even more engaging for children. The song's primary objective is to teach young children about the different vowel sounds, and Urban executes this lesson in a fun and engaging way, using music as his tool.

In conclusion, Keith Urban's "Apples and Bananas" is a fantastic example of how music can be an effective tool for education, even for the youngest of learners. The song is catchy and engaging, making learning about vowels fun and exciting for young children. The song has become an instant hit amongst children worldwide, and it continues to be enjoyed by many.
