I just miss you right now
Feelin' doesn't last long
Get here or I'll time out (Time out)
I just miss you right now
I don't make this habit but once in a while
Not consistent, just every blue moon and
We both grown, we know what we doin'
Don't talk, just listen, I'm
Sayin' some true shit, yeah
Ayy, cut him off, he a bush to me
You don't know, I bet you
More looks than me
Coco Chanel look good on me
Oh, one touch got him hooked on me
Classy chick, but the hood in me, oh
Ayy, cut him off, he a bush to me
You don't know, I bet you
More looks than me
Coco Chanel look good on me
Oh, one touch got him hooked on me
Classy chick, but the hood in me, though
I know you're usin' me, oh
I'm usin' you, too, it's mutual
(I'm ready) Drop me the addy
I'm pullin' up
Don't get used to it, though
'cause it's only once
Nights like this, I could use it
Not consistent, just every blue moon and
We both grown, we know what we doin'
Don't talk, just listen, I'm
Sayin' some true shit, yeah
Ayy, cut him off, he a bush to me
You don't know, I bet you
More looks than me
Coco Chanel look good on me
Oh, one touch got him hooked on me
Classy chick, but the hood in me, oh
Ayy, cut him off, he a bush to me
You don't know, I bet you
More looks than me
Coco Chanel look good on me
Oh, one touch got him hooked on me
Classy chick, but the hood in me, though
In Keke Palmer's song "Hooked," the lyrics are about a sporadic and casual relationship where both parties are looking for something to satisfy their physical needs without getting too emotionally attached. The opening line of "Catour, fuck it up!" is likely a shoutout to Catour, a celebrity stylist who has worked with Palmer.
The first stanza of the song conveys the longing for someone who is absent, but the feeling is fleeting. This is followed by a line about time running out, highlighting the urgency of the situation. The second stanza continues the theme of a casual relationship that is not consistent but still provides a physical release. The lines "We both grown, we know what we doin'" and "Don't talk, just listen, I'm/Sayin' some true shit, yeah" indicate that this is a sexual relationship without any emotional attachment.
The chorus has the same lyrics repeated twice. The lines "Ayy, cut him off, he a bush to me/You don't know, I bet you/More looks than me" suggest that the singer is confident in her appearance and is unbothered by the idea of cutting someone off who doesn't meet her standards. The lyrics "Coco Chanel look good on me/Oh, one touch got him hooked on me/Classy chick, but the hood in me, though" suggest that the singer's style is versatile, as she can look good in high-end clothing like Coco Chanel but still has a "hood" or edgy side to her.
In the bridge, the lyrics "I know you're usin' me, oh/I'm usin' you, too, it's mutual" highlight the mutual agreement between both parties to use each other for physical satisfaction without getting emotionally involved. The final stanza is a repetition of the second stanza, bringing the song full circle.
