Loggins was born in Everett, Washington and is the youngest of three brothers. His mother was Lina (née Massie), a homemaker, and his father, Robert George Loggins, was a salesman. They lived in Detroit and Seattle before settling in Alhambra, California. Loggins attended San Gabriel Mission High School, graduating in 1966. He formed a band called the Second Helping that released three singles during 1968 and 1969 on Viva Records. Greg Shaw described the efforts as "excellent punky folk-pop records" that were written by Loggins who was likely to be the bandleader and singer as well; Shaw included "Let Me In" on both Highs in the Mid-Sixties, Volume 2 and the Pebbles, Volume 9 CD.
Loggins had a short gig playing guitar for the New Improved Electric Prunes in 1969 before writing four songs for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which were included in their Uncle Charlie & His Dog Teddy album. During his early twenties, he was part of the band Gator Creek with Mike Deasy. An early version of "Danny's Song" (later recorded by Loggins and Messina and a No. 7 Hot 100 hit for Anne Murray in 1973) was included in a record on Mercury Records.
Loggins appears in the 2013 video game Grand Theft Auto V playing himself as the host of an in-game radio station called Los Santos Rock Radio. He also lends the songs "Danger Zone" and "I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man)", and sings station jingles.
In 2014, Loggins appeared as himself in the episode "Baby Shower" of the fifth season of the animated comedy series Archer. His song "Danger Zone" had been a recurring joke in the show. At the end of the episode and during the credits, Loggins also performs a country version of "Danger Zone" as a duet with the character of Cherlene. Loggins stated in a later interview that his in-show nickname 'K-Log' is a complete creation of the show, stating, "It was always a joke. That's why it works, because it's so absurd.
She's Dangerous

All of your life
You blow with the wind
In a hungry night
You want what you're after
So you follow the beat
But the music is crazy
In a mystery
She knows what you want
You know what's required
And without hesitation
You jump into the fire
You don't stop to wonder
What she's done, you guess
'Til you're waking up angry in a cold sweat
Somewhere, there's an innocence
We need to believe
This time you're asking too much
Boy, you can see that
All it takes is just a look in her eyes
To know she's dangerous
All you need is just to look in her eyes
To see she's dangerous
You don't know what makes you think twice
How you can feel yourself changing
And not know why
You can't look away, this is all you can see
Don't play it to the end, boy
This is destiny
Under the tenderness
The will to survive
Keeps pushing her out of your reach
Harder, you try, but
All it takes is just a look in her eyes
To know she's dangerous
All you need is just to look in her eyes
She's dangerous
Whatever you give, better men tried
Whether you come to understand, but never know why
Baby, you think you've gotta keep on
'Cause you know you'll play the game
When the winner takes all
All you need is just one look in her eyes
To know she's
Dangerous
Somewhere, there's an innocence
We need to believe
This time you're asking too much
Boy, you can see that
All it takes is just a look in her eyes
To know she's dangerous
All you need is just to look in her eyes
She's dangerous
All it takes is just a look in her eyes
To know she's dangerous
All you need is just to look in her eyes
She's dangerous
All it takes is just a look in her eyes
To know she's dangerous
All you need is just to look in her eyes
She's dangerous
The lyrics to Kenny Loggins’s song “She’s Dangerous” are about a woman named Sarah who is dangerous, hot, and desirable. The song starts off with Loggins repeating the phrase “she’s dangerous” multiple times throughout the chorus, emphasizing how dangerous Sarah is. He also repeats the phrase “yeah yeah yeah” throughout the song, creating a catchy and upbeat rhythm.
Later in the song, Loggins mentions that Sarah dumped him, highlighting her ability to control the relationship and to leave men in the dust. He also mentions that Oliver loves her and that pretty ponies love her, further emphasizing her allure and danger.
Overall, the song is about being drawn to someone who may not be good for you, but you can’t help but find them desirable. The repetition of “she’s dangerous” throughout the song mirrors the spell-like effect that dangerous individuals can have on people who are drawn to them.
