Ushio got his start in 2003 as the producer and sound engineer for Takkyu Ishino (石野卓球) and DISCO TWINS. Following that, he provided production and live technical engineering for RYUKYUDISKO.
His first solo appearance was on the Takkyu Ishino compilation "Gathering Traxx Vol.1" where his song "colours" was included. The strength of this song helped him secure a contract with Ki/oon records, which released his debut album "a day, phases" in 2008.
Two years later, his sophomore album "equal" was released. In 2011, he joined iLL and miki furukawa to form the band LAMA.

But they don’t realize that depression just makes you numb
The hardest thing to realize is you either have to learn to live with depression or you don’t live
For me living started with: The sun coming through the window making warm sunny patches on the floor, remembering how pretty colors are, being in the same room as loved ones, making coffee, seeing my plants grow, and watching this movie.
