Heard this on the radio when visiting Hawaii for the first time. It’s our classic go-to Hawaii song now.

I lived 26 on the ''west side'' of Kauai. I was a kid when I got there. I left at 50. By then, I was ''just a mean old haole man''! Kekaha was tough, brah! But ZERO regrets! Nani Kauai, and some of the finest people I ever met. I played a lot of music at the Hanapepe Friday night block parties and at all the island festivals. I often wonder if they still remember ''Westside Smitty''! When I die, I know my spirit will return to Polihale, the most beautiful place on Earth.

Absolute comedic gold. So great because... hey you gotta laugh at how silly people are. If you get offended, you need to take a step back and enjoy life cause you’re taking things too serious and gotta work on your aloha.

My stepdad use to sing this to me every time I am feeling down. When we are driving in the truck.
@Odderek
