You all prefer Regina cuz she joined the good side & had much more different outfits
Both are good, however, there are significant similarities & differences:
Rav was created for a movie, which in turn is more close to the original Grimhalde from fairytale. Reg was created for TV show approved by Disney - thats why she is less scary.
Rav starred in just 2 films, while Reg starred in 8 seasons - so ofc Reg had much more screen time & better development
Their motives are different - Rav wanted to stay young forever, while Reg was innocent heart-broken girl yearning for her happy ending. Rav turns into a hag out of her will, while Regs purpose was the same as in Disneys film.
Both did terrible things - Rav killed innocents for youth essence + killed her niece & her sister, Reg killed her father & crushed many peoples hearts. Both have black knights by their side.
Powers are different - Reg seems way more magical, but her magic seems a bit childish compared to Rav - she has more realistic powers (if that makes sense).
MAIN DIFFERENCE
Reg had a journey of going from evil to good, and she ended up being a hero after all the sick things she did - while Rav remained evil completely from start to the end.
Anyone who said Reg could easily transform Rav into an object or whatever - well Rav doesn't seem that easy to defeat - remember how Freya tried to freeze her, it wasn't that easy?
Honestly, when I was younger I preferred Regina, but as an adult I realized Ravenna is far better evil queen

Ravenna is the baddest of all evil queens. She is not sentimental about others at all except for her brother but still, she doesn't let love come in between her power.. She is the ultimate evil queen.

lets be fair revenna only had a movie where regina has had 2 season to explore her character but from what i saw revenna definetly knows the meaning of suffering i just wish they showed what happend after her mother cast that spell

Ravenna's only weakness is Snow White and her dead niece, so no. Unless if Regina is fairer than Ravenna but we all know Ravenna is the fairest between the two.

Tough call love them both, but definately Regina! She has so much depth. Ravenna's movie didn't really explore her that much.

I agree that Ravenna's character wasn't explored much, would love to have a movie just about her. But I feel like Ravenna is a much more complex character, having experienced the horrid reality of life at such a young age to the point that she lost her sanity and it left her with hatred for men and the world. Regina is a heart-broken girl who longed for a happy ending while Ravenna, I feel like she had a longing for that too but because of how far her cruelty had come, all the wretched things she did and what men had done to her in the past ruined her sliver of hope of finding someone she can love and have a happy life.
