Safety! Dance!
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance
And if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine.
I say we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance (come see!)
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
'Cause your friends don't dance
And if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine.
I say we can go where we want to
A place where they'll never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
We can dance (come see!)
We can dance we can dance
Everything is out of control
We can dance we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall
We can go where we want to
The night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat
From our hands to our feet
And surprise'em with a victory cry
I say we can act if we want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude
And totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile
I say we can dance we can dance
Everything is out of control
We can dance we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall
We can dance we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance we can dance
Everybody's taking the chance.
Yeah safety dance
We'll safety dance
Yes the safety dance
We can dance if we want to
We've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it
Never gonna lose it
Everything will work out right.
I say we can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance
And if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine.
I say we can dance we can dance
Everything is out of control (outta control!)
We can dance we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall (wall to wall)
We can dance we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance we can dance
Everybody's taking the chance.
Safety dance
We'll safety dance
Oh yes the safety dance.
We'll safety dance
Oh yes the safety dance.
It's safety dance!
It's safety dance!
The song "Safety Dance" by Kevin McHale is a popular dance tune that was released in 2011. The song starts with a repetitive chant of the letters, "S, A, F, E, T, Y, safety dance!". The rest of the song is about dancing and having fun, going to places where no one can find you, and leaving all your worries behind.
In the first verse, the lyrics describe how we can dance if we want to, and we can leave behind friends who do not dance. This is an invitation to anyone who wants to dance to join in, and it is also a way of expressing how important it is to do what makes you happy, regardless of what others think. The lyrics also suggest that the best way to have fun is to let go of all your worries and just enjoy yourself.
The second verse of the song is about going to a place where we can be ourselves and not worry about what people think of us. The lyrics suggest that we can act like we are from another world and leave our real problems behind. The chorus repeats the invitation to dance, and the bridge encourages people to take chances and be themselves.
