She left me out in the cold
She left me broken and weary
Drunk off the lies she told
I fell in love in the morning
But when the day gets cold
I'm back to life in my lonely
City of El Paso
But the days get harder in November
Love grows colder in the winter
All the things you say, I'll remember
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Love grows colder in the winter
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
I lost my mind when you left me
And I didn't have much of that
But you were so quick to reject me
So I'll take my time being sad
I fell so hard, I'll admit it
The feeling wasn't mutual
So I'm back to live in my lonely
In the city of El Paso
But the days get harder in November
Love grows colder in the winter
All the things you say, I'll remember
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Love grows colder in the winter
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Promise, promise, promise, promise
Promise, promise, promise, promise
Promise, promise that you'll keep my love (keep my love)
Promise, promise, promise, promise
Promise, promise, promise, promise
Promise, promise that you'll keep my love (keep my love)
But the days get harder in November
Love grows colder in the winter
All the things you say, I'll remember
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
Love grows colder in the winter
Promise that you'll keep my love with ya
In Khalid's song, "Winter," he talks about a past relationship that left him heartbroken and lonely in the city of El Paso. The lyrics express how the singer fell in love with someone who didn't feel the same way about him, leading to rejection and sadness. The chorus talks about how the days get colder and love grows colder, especially in November and winter. The singer asks the person to remember the things he said and promises to keep his love with them.
In the first verse, the singer talks about losing his heart in the nighttime and being left out in the cold by someone who was drunk off lies. He then fell in love in the morning but found himself back in loneliness when the day got cold. This cycle of falling in love and feeling lonely suggests that the singer may have a hard time finding love or keeping it.
In the second verse, the singer admits to losing his mind when the person left him and having a hard time getting over the rejection. He also acknowledges that the love was one-sided and that he fell for them harder than they fell for him. The line "I didn't have much of that" also suggests that the singer may have had issues with mental health or stability.
Overall, "Winter" is a melancholic song about lost love and loneliness. Despite the promises made by the singer, it seems like the relationship is over, and the singer is trying to come to terms with it. The repetition of the promise to keep the love with the person suggests that the singer is holding on to hope that they may come back to him.

Khalid I want you to know that everytime I hear a song off this album, I cry a little on the inside. This album will always have a special place in my heart. And nothing will ever change that. The feeling I get is incomparable to anything else. There's no album I've listened to as much. And the lyrics videos recreated the feelings in me. I am trying but can't ever describe it in words. So inspiring.
