Return of the rage, return of the rage
Fought in the dark, fought in the pain
Return of the rage, return of the rage
I got the rage forcing through my veins
Listen to me
No one's home, no one's home
I can't come, empty at home
My head is screaming, I fuck with these demons
I got this rage running through my veins
Listen to me
Undoubtedly, you're saving to me
Undoubtedly, you're saving to me
I've got to bleed, no saving me
I've got to bleed, no saving me
No saving me
A warrior's hurt, a warrior's pain
Return of the rage, return of the rage
A warrior's cursed, a warrior's pain
I got the rage forcing through my veins
No one's home, no one's home
Won't leave a note won't leave hope
No one's home, no one's home
Oh what a nightmare I'm done with this idiots
I got this rage running through my veins
Listen to me
Alone in the dark, born into pain
Return of the rage, return of the rage
Nobody's home, nobody's home
That was a warning, don't be an idiot
I will fucking bash in your brain
Listen to me
Hear the blood that's boiled in my veins
The lyrics of Kid Cudi's song "Fade 2 Red" describe a person who is consumed by rage and is fighting the demons in their head alone in the dark. The opening lines "Fought in the dark, fought in the pain, return of the rage" set the tone for the entire song, depicting a warrior who is cursed with pain and unable to control his rage. The repetition of the phrase "return of the rage" highlights his rage and how it is constantly returning to haunt, making it unmanageable.
The lines "No one's home, no one's home, my head is screaming" convey the singer's loneliness and isolation, as if nobody is there for them, and they are left to deal with their own demons. The use of the phrase "fuck with these demons" suggests that the singer is struggling with mental health issues, and perhaps the rage they feel has a deeper origin. The chorus, "Undoubtedly, you're saving to me, I've got to bleed, no saving me" highlights that there is nobody to save them except themselves, and they must fight their battles alone. The phrase "a warrior's hurt, a warrior's pain" reinforces the idea that the singer is strong enough to withstand the pain, but it comes at a great cost.
In the final verse, the singer warns others not to be an idiot and listen to him as he has the power and the rage to "bash in your brain" if they do not. The ending line "hear the blood that's boiled in my veins" indicates that the rage is so intense that it's like boiling hot blood running through the singer's veins. The song "Fade 2 Red" is a powerful anthem for anyone who is struggling with mental health issues and fighting their demons alone.
