Yeah, na-na-na-na
Na-na-na-na
Crush a bit, little bit
Roll it up, take a hit
Feeling lit, feeling right
Two AM, summer night, I don't care
Driving drunk I'm doing my thang
Rolling the Midwest side and out
Living my life, getting our dreams
People told me slow my roll
I'm screaming out, "Fuck that"
I'ma do just what I want
Looking ahead no turning back
If I fall if I die
Know I lived it to the fullest
If I fall if I die
Know I lived and missed some bullets
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
Tell me what you know about dreamin', dreamin'
You don't really know about nothin', nothin'
Tell me what you know about them night terrors every night
Five AM cold sweats, waking up to the sky
Tell me what you know about dreams, dreams
Tell me what you know about night terrors, nothin'
You don't really care about the trials of tomorrow
Rather lay awake in the bed full of sorrow
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness
I know everything that shine ain't always gold
I'll be fine once I get it, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know
Everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold, hey
I'll be fine once I get it, yeah, I'll be good
Pursuit of happiness
Yeah, I'm gon' get it, I'll be, good
Ugh
Oh man
Oh alright, oh
Room's spinning, room's spinning
Pat, Zuli, wait, oh fuck
Oh my God
Why did I drink so much and smoke so much? Ugh
Oh fuck
The lyrics to Kid Cudi's song Pursuit of Happiness- Steve Aoki Dance Remix describe the artist's journey to find happiness in life. In the first verse, he talks about feeling carefree and living his life without any regard for the consequences. This is evident when he talks about rolling up marijuana and driving under the influence of alcohol. He feels invincible and is not afraid to take risks. The chorus talks about how he is on a mission to find happiness, even though he knows that everything that shines is not always gold. He is determined to keep going until he gets what he wants.
The second verse talks about his struggles with insomnia and nightmares. He talks about waking up in cold sweats at 5 am, feeling scared and hopeless. He feels that no one understands what he is going through and is on his own in his pursuit of happiness. The chorus repeats again, emphasizing his determination to keep going and his belief that he will eventually find happiness.
Overall, the song is a powerful anthem about the struggle to find meaning and happiness in life. It speaks to anyone who has ever felt lost or alone and offers hope that things will get better with time.
