As an infant, Brown began to sing the alphabet immediately after learning it and began performing at the age of 3 upon receiving her first karaoke machine. As a child, Brown began to regularly perform in school plays and beauty pageants while taking voice lessons and piano study. She was also involved with 'Janoskian's member Luke Brooks.
In 2011, Brown's mother discovered Kidz Bop, a website for kids to upload and share videos of themselves performing. She uploaded a video of Brown performing an original number on the piano, with Brown selected as a finalist. After performing Adele's "Someone Like You" to earn her a place in the Top 4, Brown won the 2011 KIDZ Star USA Grand Prize out of 45,000 submissions, the largest national talent competition for kids age 15 and under.[1]
At a school assembly, Brown was told that she won the national talent search by "American Idol" winner Kris Allen. The prize included a RCA Records recording contract and starring role in the Kidz Bop 21 music video and commercial. Allen said after seeing her live, "She went from 'She's good' to 'She is no doubt gonna win this thing."[2]
Brown said she had the opportunity to listen to and select from her top three song choices. After considering and listening to the songs, she said she chose her first single “Hey Chica” because of the up-beat tempo. The song was released June 19, 2012.[3] Brown has performed the song on The Today Show and 86th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also performed "Do the mermaid" from Barbie in A Mermaid Tale 2.
In 2012, Brown was named cover girl for Miss Moxie's Holiday 2012 issue.[4] The site praised "Hey Chica" for promoting "clear message of self empowerment and encourages young women to feel beautiful in their own skin."
In 2016, Brown was cast in the series regular role as Zoe Vaughn on the second season of MTV's Scream.

How you feelin' 'bout it?
What's up?
Got some shade about it
What's up?
You mad about it
Can't be mad at me
You gettin' hung up, what's up? Why you questionin' it?
You lookin' like this talkin' turnin' you on
Way I'm fuckin' you up
Like you love it
I'm up on my
Aries tip, bet you heard somethin' 'bout it
Fire pit, you keep dancin' around me
So legit, put a copyright on it
You lost without it
I don't doubt it
I been on my hot shit lately
Can't be mad at me
You been on some fuck shit lately
Keep that distance please
Yeah, so if you thinkin' there's a problem
We can settle it
Say you don't get it
But truth is you just can't get wit' it
I been on my hot shit lately
Can't be mad at me
Used to be so down, down, down, down, down
Hard to get through to you but let me have a go at it
You out here lookin' like you can't get enough
Way I'm fuckin' you up
Like you want it
I'm up on my
Aries tip, bet you heard somethin' 'bout it
Fire pit, you keep dancin' around me
So legit, put a copyright on it
You lost without it
I don't doubt it
I been on my hot shit lately
Can't be mad at me (mm-mm)
You been on some fuck shit lately
Keep that distance please
Yeah, so if you thinkin' there's a problem
We can settle it
Say you don't get it
But truth is you just can't get wit' it
I been on my hot shit lately (oh)
Can't be mad at me
What's up?
How you feelin' 'bout it?
What's up?
Got some shade about it
What's up?
You mad about it
Can't be mad at me
What's up?
How you feelin 'bout it?
What's up?
Got some shade about it
What's up?
You mad about it
Can't be mad at me
In "Mad at Me" by Kiana Ledé, the singer is confronting someone who is upset with her but is unable to provide a valid reason for their anger. The first verse questions the person's motives and suggests that they are "seeming too invested" in whatever they are mad about. Ledé's use of rhetorical questions, such as "why you questioning it?" and "what's up?", further emphasize the irrational nature of the person's anger. The singer then asserts her own self-confidence, saying that she is on her "Aries tip" and that the person should be "mad about" the way she is "fucking you up like you want it." The chorus repeats the message that the person's irrational anger cannot be directed at her, singing "Can't be mad at me" over a catchy beat.
The second verse continues to highlight the singer's own confidence and power, stating that she has been on her "hot shit lately." Ledé also turns the tables on the person, asserting that they have been the one exhibiting "fuck shit" behavior and should keep their distance. The verse ends by challenging the person to vocalize their problem with her and suggesting that they are simply unable to understand her perspective. The chorus then repeats before repeating the opening rhetorical questions, "What's up? How you feeling 'bout it?" which highlights the cyclical nature of irrational anger.
Overall, the song's message is about self-confidence in the face of anger and irrationality. Ledé asserts her own power and refuses to take on the guilt for someone else's emotional behavior.
