Something evil
Lurking around
The moon is full
The streets are empty
Shadows cover the town
You can't call it
You can't shake the feeling
But the wind seems to speak
Something's here in the room with me
I know that something is wrong here
I can feel it but no one believes me
I know that something is strange here
I can sense it but no one believes me
I feel like something is wrong here
I can sense it but no one believes me
I'm not crazy hell no I'm not loony
I'm not insane
Take a second
I heard it
I know it
Whispers say my name
In the room calling for me
No ones there
Where do I go
Where should I run
Theres a vibe and it's haunting
No ones there
Where should I go
Where should I run
In "Kid Cudi No One Believes Me," Kid Cudi describes a feeling of impending doom and sinister presence lurking in the shadows. The imagery in the song sets a haunting tone, with the full moon and empty streets creating a sense of isolation and vulnerability. The lyrics create a push-pull dynamic between the singer's intuition and the disbelief of those around them. The repetition of the phrase "no one believes me" reinforces the theme of being alone in facing a perceived danger.
The singer tries to insist that they are not crazy or insane, but their fear is dismissed by those around them. They hear whispers calling their name, adding to the eerie atmosphere. The song ends with a sense of uncertainty and vulnerability, with the singer unsure of where to go or what to do in the face of an unknown threat.
The song's lyrics can be interpreted in a variety of ways, but it seems to be a reflection of Kid Cudi's struggles with mental health and feeling misunderstood. The theme of feeling alone in facing a perceived danger can also be seen as a commentary on societal issues such as police brutality and the lack of support for mental health issues.
