Eleven Kidz Bop albums have been released to date. Each album features different pop music songs, played with music similar to the original, and with the "Kidz Bop Kids" singing instead of the original artist. Albums are typically released within a few months of each other and thus the songs included tend to be the hit songs of the current time, including such songs such as "Float On" (Modest Mouse), "This Love" (Maroon 5), and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (Green Day).
Although the albums are marketed as being "sanitized" versions of popular songs for children, many of the songs featured on the Kidz Bop albums still contain explicit sexual material, such as Rob Thomas's "Lonely No More," which some people consider inappropriate for younger audiences. Other featured songs, such as "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", contain profanity. Although the albums censor the actual word from the song, the context of the profanity remains. They also covered Green Day's hit "Wake Me Up When September Ends", which is about death.
The Kidz Bop video for their cover of Avril Lavigne's "Sk8r Boi", for instance, features the song being sung by a pre-teen girl in heavy make-up, fishnet stockings, and a Sex Pistols t-shirt.

Ain't used to feelin' this way (mmm-mmm)
I do not know what to say (yeah, yeah)
But I know I shouldn't think about it
Took another look at your face (Hmm)
Now I wanna hear how you sing (mmm-mmm)
Usually don't throw it away (yeah, yeah)
Then I realize she's right there
And I'm at home like, "yeah, this ain't fair"
Break up with your girlfriend (girlfriend)
Yeah, yeah, 'cause I'm bored
We could hang out in the mornin' (mornin')
Yeah, yeah, my heart's yours
I know it ain't right, but I don't care (care)
Break up with your girlfriend (girlfriend)
Yeah, yeah, 'cause I'm bored
These things always happen to me (yeah)
Why can't we just play for keeps? (Mmm-mmm)
Practically, don't you see? (Yeah, yeah)
But I know I shouldn't think about it
You know what you're doin' to me
You're singin' my songs in the streets, yeah, yeah
Actin' all innocent, please
When I know you out here thinkin' 'bout it
Then you realize she's right there (yeah)
And you're at home like, "yeah, she can't compare"
Break up with your girlfriend (girlfriend)
Yeah, yeah, 'cause I'm bored
We could hang out in the mornin' (in the mornin')
Yeah, yeah, my heart's yours
I know it ain't right, but I don't care (nah, care, yeah)
Break up with your girlfriend (with your girlfriend)
Yeah, yeah, 'cause I'm bored
With your girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend
With your girlfriend
With your girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend
You could say I'm hatin' if you want to
But I only hate on her 'cause I want to
Say I've lost it and it ain't right
But you without me ain't nice (ain't nice, yeah)
Break up with your girlfriend (with your girlfriend)
Yeah, yeah, 'cause I'm bored
We could hang out in the mornin' (hang out in the mornin', yeah, yeah, yeah)
Yeah, yeah, my heart's yours
I know it ain't right, but I don't care (care, uh)
Break up with your girlfriend (with your girlfriend)
Yeah, yeah, 'cause I'm bored
With your girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend, baby, girlfriend
With your girlfriend
With your girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend, girlfriend
With your girlfriend
The lyrics of Kidz Bop's song "I'm Yours" discuss feelings of romantic attraction and the complicated situation that arises when the singer is caught between their own desires and the fact that the person they are interested in is already in a relationship. The opening lines of the song express this sense of confusion and uncertainty, as the singer admits to feeling "some type of way" that they are "not used to feeling." They acknowledge that they "shouldn't think about it," but they are drawn to the other person's face and voice, and cannot resist the attraction.
The chorus of the song is an expression of the singer's frustration and impatience with their situation. They urge the other person to break up with their current girlfriend so that they can be together. While the singer knows that this is not morally right, they confess that they "don't care" and have given in to their desire. The second verse continues this theme, as the singer admits to feeling jealous and resentful of the other woman, and accuses her of being the cause of the turmoil in their own relationship.
Overall, the song explores the complicated emotions that arise when one person is attracted to someone who is already taken, and grapples with the difficult decisions that must be made in such a situation.
