Eleven Kidz Bop albums have been released to date. Each album features different pop music songs, played with music similar to the original, and with the "Kidz Bop Kids" singing instead of the original artist. Albums are typically released within a few months of each other and thus the songs included tend to be the hit songs of the current time, including such songs such as "Float On" (Modest Mouse), "This Love" (Maroon 5), and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" (Green Day).
Although the albums are marketed as being "sanitized" versions of popular songs for children, many of the songs featured on the Kidz Bop albums still contain explicit sexual material, such as Rob Thomas's "Lonely No More," which some people consider inappropriate for younger audiences. Other featured songs, such as "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", contain profanity. Although the albums censor the actual word from the song, the context of the profanity remains. They also covered Green Day's hit "Wake Me Up When September Ends", which is about death.
The Kidz Bop video for their cover of Avril Lavigne's "Sk8r Boi", for instance, features the song being sung by a pre-teen girl in heavy make-up, fishnet stockings, and a Sex Pistols t-shirt.

Walkin' through the streets of Soho in the rain
He was lookin' for the place called Lee Ho Fooks
Gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein
Aho! werewolves of London
Aho!
Aho! werewolves of London
Ya hear him howlin' around your kitchen door
Ya better not let him in
Little old lady got mutilated late last night
Werewolves of London again
Aho! werewolves of London
Aho!
Aho! werewolves of London
Aho!
He's the hairy, hairy gent, who ran amok in Kent
Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair
You better stay away from him
He'll rip your lungs out Jim
Huh, I'd like to meet his tailor
Aho! werewolves of London
Aho!
Aho! werewolves of London
Aho!
Well, I saw Lon Chaney walkin' with the queen
Doin' the werewolves of London
I saw Lon Chaney Jr. walkin' with the queen
Doin' the werewolves of London
I saw a werewolf drinkin' a pina colada at Trader Vic's
And his hair was perfect
Aho! werewolves of London
Draw blood
Aho! Werewolves of London
The lyrics to "Werewolves of London" by KIDZ BOP Kids tell a story about encountering werewolves in the city of London. The singer sees a werewolf walking through the streets of Soho in the rain, with a Chinese menu in his hand. He's searching for Lee Ho Fooks, where he plans to get a big dish of beef chow mein. As the song progresses, we learn that the werewolves of London are dangerous creatures who pose a threat to the community. The singer warns listeners not to let them in if they hear them howling around their kitchen door. The chorus, "Aho! werewolves of London," serves as a warning and a call to action.
The second verse provides more information about the werewolf, describing him as a "hairy, hairy gent" who recently ran amok in Kent and is now being overheard in Mayfair. The singer advises listeners to stay away from him and warns that he'll "rip your lungs out Jim." The line, "Huh, I'd like to meet his tailor," suggests that the singer is not taking the threat of the werewolf seriously, or perhaps he's trying to inject humor into the situation.
The third verse introduces Lon Chaney and Lon Chaney Jr., two actors who famously played werewolves in movies. The singer sees them walking with the queen, doing the werewolves of London dance. The final line of the song, "And his hair was perfect," adds a comedic touch to an otherwise ominous song.
