Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant and Brownsville, Killah Priest became infatuated with hip-hop as a child, listening to old-school and new school acts like Eric B. & Rakim alike. He also was influenced by local rappers, like GZA and Onyx's Suave, who would often play local parties. Killah Priest began working on his rhyming and eventually earned a considerable reputation in Brooklyn , but instead of pursuing his musical career further, he took a sabbatical in order to educate himself, primarily about religion and history.
Killah Priest returned to rapping in 1995, appearing on several Wu projects. All of his cameos were noteworthy, but his role on Liquid Swords earned special attention. By the end of 1996, he formed his own side project, the Sunz of Man. In 1997, GZA suggested to Geffen that they sign Killah Priest, and the label took his advice.
Killah worked on the album with True Master and 4th Disciple, two producers associated with the Clan. The resulting album, Heavy Mental, was dense with religious imagery and filled with evocative sounds. It received excellent reviews upon its March 1998 release and was a respectable commercial success, debuting at number 24 on the pop charts.
Killah Priest issued his second album, View from Masada, in the spring of 2000, further bolstering his status as one of the most compelling solo artists in the Wu-Tang stable. After that he has released more projects such as Priesthood and Black August.

Regarded as Job, layin' naked in the Valley of Bones
Skulls of dead woman grinnin', it's scary
Till they're crushed under the foot of a gremlin
Mother Mary, demons screamin', I said "That I am"
The all eye seein', the skies cryin', I'm freezin'
Icicles on the hairs of my nostrils
The Apostle, light-years, I was there like a fossil
Made red mud, slush of guts
I wanna stand up or pull back by sluts
That's when the sky had erupt
Waves of electric white light
Graves across my eye sight
The dark waters have thick mud
It intruded my rich blood
The skies open, the eyes of Omen
Rise of the Roman, ridin' the trojan
Arrivin' ShoGun killin' the Conan
Here's the token, God told 'em his real name
His real name, he told me his real name
He lives again, concealed in the frame
It's still stained, the paint glass peels in the pain
Come take a journey with us
This is light in the form of sound
Sound in the form of light
Cause when you look Behind the Stained Glass
You see the seven star spectrum
They broke the windows
Their face turned old and wrinkle
Don't stare into the God eyes
Flowin' ash, dark in the sky
The fog that covered the Church part of the syze
A mob begins to fly toward their face
Hell Mary full of grace
Let's exposed Stained Glass
Shoulda neva pulled the drapes
Priest-Killuminati a.k.a Rothschild by military force
Was their kingdom brought down?
In "Dark Evening in Hell's Poll," Killah Priest describes his experience of being tormented and consumed by harlots, which represents his internal demons. He compares himself to Job, depicted in the Bible as a man who has lost everything yet remains faithful to God. Priest lays naked in the Valley of Bones, surrounded by skulls of dead women who are grinning at him. However, a gremlin appears and crushes the skulls underfoot, representing the power of evil and destruction. Despite this, Priest claims his identity as "The all eye seein'," refusing to give in to the forces of darkness.
The darkness is palpable, as the skies cry, icicles cling to his nostril hairs, and the world around him is submerged in thick, red mud. Priest sees waves of electric white light and graves appearing before his eyes. However, God reveals His true name to him, urging Priest to focus on the light amidst the darkness. The Stained Glass represents a barrier that separates the darkness from the light - Priest warns against pulling back the drapes, as one may not be ready to face the truth.
