Places Where Pharoahs Go
Killah Priest Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

[Singer]
Pharoahs..
Pharoahs..
Pharoahs..
It is you that God brought

[Killah Priest]
Places Where Pharoahs Go (Pharoahs)
Mind... (Pharoahs)
The mind, Places Where Pharaohs Go
The mind...
(See you father)

Places Where Pharaohs Go
Places Where Pharaohs Go
Here I am deep in my soul
Here I am walkin on the sand
Talkin to a man in a language that neither he or I understands
Felt painless, though I'm anxious to ask him what his name is
His clothes looked the ancient and his face was ageless
His hand were sacred as if travelled through places
And I was an Atheist until I was greeted by the warm embraces of the local natives
Now I'm in the middle of an oasis singin praises to a gigantic spaceship
Walkin in the middle of a desert, I felt pleasant
While Kings and Queens and men with wings stand in my presence
In their pure essence, now take me to where my ancestors are restin
They begin to take me by my hands and walked on the sands
To the deep wilderness behind the villages
I looked up; we went to a mystic spot
He said, "Here it is, there's the pyramids where your spirit lives"
I walked inside, seen myself as King Tut, layin in a green tux
Wings came out in dusk
I saw mummies moon walking out of their coffins
Then a voice said, "Well done"
Then they greeted me in welcome
The Places Where Pharaohs Go
Places Where Pharaohs Go
Places Where Pharaohs Go
Which word best describes this urge?
I refer to a proverb, observe the third optic nerve
It moves clockwork, times stopped but I'm not disturbed

Nothin that you can smell, touch, taste, or even be heard (heard)

@Jobe I got to meet them last year ... saw Killah Priest and kurupt Ras Kass , and canibus at a place in Fort Worth not too far from Dallas .
We had a great time weren't allowed to do any of the songs from this album regrettably .
It was still a great time and I actually got to meet Killah Priest talked to him for a bit and get pictures taken with him .
He has this incredible handshake like a big bear but you feel all this power he's so powerful and a FORCE FOR GOOD and so gentle it's incredible and I told him that but of course he was real humble about it .
Just such a great memory for me .
Also KILLAH PRIEST has a podcast ... have you seen it ?
I got to get caught up on them I've missed most of them .
And did you check out their new album some pretty good stuff for some reason I'm having memory problems the past few days I think it's called The Last Ride ... and that's one of the better songs and also a song called Morticians .
Can't remember the names there were a few other good ones .
If you ever get the chance to see them live you have to do it , man , you have to .

@Jobe Yo Jobe , also , this song reminds me of when my dad died during a heatwave in Philadelphia years ago .
I kept getting these images , sights , sounds ... everything of ancient Egypt ... and I SAW that my father had been a tax collector in and around that part of the world back in the day of the Pharaohs .
The weird thing is I remember mentioning to my older sister " there's just this aura , this air of ancient Egypt ;I can feel it all permeating the whole house " ... and my sister blew my mind discussing it , saying she had been seeing the exact same thing .
And we both knew that my dad had lived back in those days .
The funny thing is , both my parents always loved anything about ancient Egypt .
But what was ironic is that for most of my adult life until maybe six years ago I usually looked like an ancient Egyptian , my hair and makeup ... people are always telling me I look like I was right out of that era ... but my Dad COULDN'T STAND IT and told me one day you look like an Egyptian , stop wearing all that eye make up .

@Jobe I know just incredible what people are missing and they're listening to a lot of that horrible brain-dead garbage mainstream crap ...gross .
If I was a filmmaker I would definitely have his music in my movies ... especially this song .
I heard that believe it or not sometimes having your music in a movie does not always guarantee a lot of money but it would certainly help create an awareness and a lot more people would be looking at his music and checking it out and really listening to it and giving it the thought and the time that it so rightfully deserves

Jobe

Hell yeah, I'm still blown away now and I listen to this like three or four times a day. KP is simply on another plane...
