3:00 was one of the most life changing moments in music for me when i was "young"-er. its strikingly beautiful in the midst of all the distorted guitars and screams, its like finding the most beautiful oasis in the middle of some desert. is maybe even more than that, it feels like a completely different song stuck inside of another, yet working perfectly as the only piece that could ever fit that puzzle. weirdly placed but fitting. the key change or whatever is just so great, such a nostalgic song.

On a serious note this band saved my life. When I used to go to school I would get bullied hard and there was someone I was close to I lost because she betrayed me. I wanted the whole world to burn, wanted to quit music, and wanted to end my life because I thought there was really nothing left to live for. And yes I did tried committing suicide many times. Thanks to killswitch engage they helped me get out of my dark place and want to continue music. Glad I'm relistening to them and thank you guitar hero for getting me into them when I was a little kid. I even remember having the deluxe version of as daylight dies album on my kindle fire I used to have. I'll probably be gone without this album.

***** Volbeat is more towards Traditional Heavy Metal. Much like Airbourne & FFDP. Disturbed was part of the Nu-Metal age in the early 2000s along with Slipknot, System of A Down & Korn. Gojira definitely, MMI & TWDP were part of that stigma that late 2000's metalcore got. They were somehow lunched in with crap like Attack Attack & Abandon All Ships. But both bands are absolutely solid. Amon Amarth is part of the melodic death metal movement. Seen with bands like Arch Enemy, In Flames & Children of Bodom.
