Kim has branched out to act in dramas including Sunao ni Narenakute, Protect the Boss, and most recently Dr. Jin, Triangle and in films such as Heaven's Postman and Jackal is Coming. He was also the Executive Director for JYJ's 2011 Worldwide Tour and the 2011 LG Whisen Rhythmic All Stars.
In January 2013 he released his first EP, titled "I", followed by a full length album, "WWW" in October the same year.

The lyrics of "Mine" by Kim Jae Joong speaks about the struggles of an individual who is haunted by toxic memories and refuses to let go of the pain. The singer sings about the poison that the person has spewed out on a rampage, and how it has become familiar to him/her like a disease. The person seems to be screaming aloud, but the singer assures the person that he can help them wake up from the nightmare and fight their pain.
The chorus talks about the singer's personal space, a metaphorical sea, where he has to fight unexpected challenges every day. He tells the person not to come there, as it's already polluted enough, and he doesn't want to see the sun that reflects on him darken. The person seems to be struggling with addiction, where the immediate pleasure is consuming him/her entirely but makes them scream out loud for more, and the singer pleads with the person to stay away from his sanctuary.
The lyrics of "Mine" tells a story of pain, addiction and the battle to keep oneself sane. It's a call for help to anyone who might be struggling with their demons, and an assurance that there's no shame in looking for help.

To anybody revisiting this, never forget this song was to protect Cassiopeia. It was his stand against SM and most likely 'Keep your head down'. Never forget all their struggles to be free from the company that preyed on their talent and their lives. This album was Jae's masterpiece and I'll never shut up about it.

I remember this. There are still many of us around that witnessed this time and find it hard to support SM as you see them continue to use similar tactics to squash the competition. They have been reined in little by little. Let's see what happens without LSM in the driver's seat. He is probably backseat driving now. Jaejoong continues to create amazing music. Do check out his hit song, Nobody Like You. I think he released a new album. I heard two songs so far and I love it.
