Widely known in Japan, the KinKi Kids are very popular among girls of all ages, and their subscription concerts even draw boys. Not only do they sing, but they are also talented actors, having appeared in popular dramas, movies, and commercials both alone and together. For example, Tsuyoshi played a part in Kindaichi Shounen no Jikenbo and Summer Snow, and Koichi was in Remote as well as Sushi Ouji. However, despite their shared surnames, they are in fact completely unrelated and hail from two different prefectures in the Kinki region.
KinKi Kids are signed and promoted by Johnny and Associates. Other well-known Johnny and Associates groups include SMAP, TOKIO, V6, NEWS, and Arashi.

The lyrics to KinKi Kids’s song “世界中のみんなで…” (Sekaijuu no minna de…) are about unity and coming together as one despite differences in culture, background, and ethnicity. The first verse talks about how they have come together in this country (presumably Japan) and how they have grown to face bigger and more challenging places. The lines “Dakara minna de tasuke au/Sekai jyu no minna de…” mean that they will help each other out and work together with everyone in the world.
The chorus asks questions about the world and how everyone is doing, including where the sky and the earth are going and how they can protect what they have. The lines “Dare yori mo tsuyoi ai de mamori tai/Hei wa na ashita wo” mean that they want to protect their future with a love stronger than anyone else’s.
The second verse talks about the hardships in life, including sadness and pain. However, despite this, they will support each other and come together to help each other out. The last few lines of the song repeat the chorus, emphasizing the importance of unity and love for all.
