Overall Meaning

King's song "The Greatest" is a retrospective of his journey towards success. The song begins with King reminiscing about his early childhood, where his mother moved him out of the islands when he was only six years old. As he grew up, King discovered his passion for writing and rhyming, and by the age of nine, he was already impressing those around him with his abilities. As he entered his teenage years, he focused on his looks and his academics. But eventually, he realized that he could use his love for sports and his business acumen to carve a different path towards success.

The song explores the struggles that King faced as he tried to make a name for himself in the music industry. He talks about the sacrifices he made to pursue his dreams, including working out of his basement, selling CDs with ladies in bikinis in Los Angeles, and pushing cars for money. King then became disillusioned with the industry when he realized that a deal was not enough to make him successful, and he had to battle to reclaim his true identity. King finished the song by proclaiming that he does not need external validation, and he knows he is one of the greatest.

In summary, "The Greatest" is an autobiographical song that shows how King overcame various hierarchies on his path towards becoming successful. The song is not only a testament to King's talents but also highlights his inherent determination and resilience.

"THE DEFINITION OF NEO-SOUL / INDIE SOUL"
Neo-Soul / Indie Soul is a timeless musical genre that fuses real instrumental, Jazz, Contemporary R&B and 1970s-style Soul,Funk,Rock and Deep House Soul Music with some elements of Hip-Hop. As it's name (new soul) implies, Neo-Soul / Indie Soul music is essentially modern-day soul music, with contemporary attitudes and sensibilities. It differs from contemporary R&B in that it's organic and obviously more soulful, and it also tends to have deeper messages and meanings than R&B.

I really love this group. The album is beautiful. Has a quiet storm tone but I like that. The album stands out cuz it isn't commercial, which I think is a good thing, plus how many R&B groups are out 2day? I'm glad you're not commercial but at the same time, I wish more people knew how great of a sound you have. Bottom line, King has it's follower, and I'm one of them
