In 2013, while still a teenager, Marshall released the first King Krule album, 6 Feet Beneath the Moon, on XL in the U.K. and True Panther in the U.S. Marshall then collaborated with his brother Jack for the relatively fluid, more electronic A New Place 2 Drown. Released in 2015 and credited to Archy Marshall, its physical edition was packaged with a 208-page book of poetry, photography, and art. King Krule fully reactivated in 2017 with a handful of varied singles -- the dreamlike ballad "Czech One," the mid-tempo rocker "Dum Surfer," and the rumbling "Half Man Half Shark," all featuring saxophone from Ignacio Salvadores -- that led up to The Ooz, an hour-long follow-up written during a three-year period.

No help still
He said it hurts when he stares at lights
I guess my brain was full, indecision's on the lefthand side
But the doctor said it's cool, just take these in the dead of night
Within the deepest sleep you'll fall
My head hit bed but my mind's still alive
These pills just make me, these pills just make me drool
I say these pills just make me, these pills just make me
These pills just make me, these pills just make me drool
I told him he weren't doing things right
So he put me on some more, no change as a year flew by
I gave that fraud a call, he sniggered when I told my plight
He told me I was, he told me I was wrong
He told me I was, he told me I was
He told me I was, he told me I was
And now she's sat alone, the deep of night
She's sitting in a pool
Makes incisions on the righthand side
Her blood is in me
Her blood is an assault
Yeah, her blood is in me
Yeah, her blood is in me
Yeah, her blood is in me
Yeah, her blood is in the song
Yeah, her blood is in me
Yeah, her blood is in me
Yeah, her blood is in me
Yeah, her blood is in the walls
Yeah, no help still
Yeah, no help still
No help still
No help still
The song "Emergency Blimp" by King Krule is a haunting and emotionally charged piece that explores the effects of mental illness and the desperation that comes with it. The refrain "no help still" conveys a deep sense of isolation and hopelessness, suggesting that the singer feels trapped in his own mind and unable to seek the help that he so desperately needs.
The verses provide glimpses into the singer's struggles with depression and anxiety, including his experience of being prescribed medication that only makes him feel worse. The line "these pills just make me drool" suggests a sense of numbness and disconnection, as if the singer is disconnected from his own body and unable to control the effects of the medication that has been prescribed to him.
The song takes a more sinister turn in the final verse, which describes a woman who is cutting herself and bleeding. The repeated refrain "her blood is in the song" creates a sense of unease and macabre fascination, as if the singer is almost transfixed by the woman's pain and the way it has manifested in physical form. Ultimately, the song paints a bleak picture of the toll that mental illness can take on a person's life, and the desperate search for help and meaning that can ensue.
