Sing Sing Sing
King Of Swing Orchestra Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We meet, and the angels sing
The angels sing the sweetest song I ever heard
You speak, and the angels sing
Or am I breathing music into every word

Suddenly, the setting is strange
I can see water and moonlight beaming
Silver waves that break on some undiscovered shore - Then
Suddenly, I see it all change
Long winter nights with the candles gleaming
Through it all your face that I adore.

You smile, and the angels sing
And though it's just a gentle murmur at the start

We kiss, and the angels sing
And leave their music ringing in my heart.

In my sixty years of listening to jazz clarinets players, Engelbert W is the greatest clarinetist I have ever heard. Technically he is flawless . Even better than his obvious mentor BG and also seems to possess perhaps one of the finest instruments. I would be curious to know more about it . I should also comment on Peter's excellent bass pedal work - I thought at first he had double pedals.

I am a huge fan of The Butch Miles version but this is equally good. The tempo, and swing of the drummer is fabulous and the other soloists are brilliant too. Thanks for this . 😀

Benny Goodman is smiling from somewhere beyond, and thus we have bands celebrating him today.

I always love the fact that no matter how good you are on your particular instrument, everyone always like to see what the drummer does...look at all those guys staring. Maybe someone thinks "damn, I chose the wrong instrument", lol

For a drummer that ain't Gene Krupa, he's pretty awesome! I'm trying to learn the drum track for this song, so this is a big help.

Jack Speed

sorry what, he`s pretty awsome? In my opinion he is better than Krupa, and Krupa was one of the best !
