Know How
Kings Of Convenience featuring Feist Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Riding on this know-how
Never been here before
Peculiarly entrusted
Possibly that's all
Is history recorded
Does someone have a tape?

Surely, I'm no pioneer
Constellations stay the same
Just a little bit of danger
When intriguingly
Our little secret
Trust say trust me
Cause no one will ever know
That this was happening
So tell me why you listen
When nobody's talking

Oh oh oh, what is there to know?
Oh, this is what it is
Oh oh oh, you and me alone
Sheer simplicity

Oh oh oh, what is there to know?
Oh, this is what it is
Oh oh oh, you and me alone
Sheer simplicity

Oh oh oh, what is there to know?
Oh, this is what it is

Oh oh oh, you and me alone
Sheer simplicity

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Kings Of Convenience's Know-How start with the riding on the know-how, which is the experience of the singer. This is followed by the statement that the singer has never been in this place before, which brings an air of ambiguity about where this place is or what is happening. The singer then mentions the strangeness of the trust that has been placed in them, and how that might be all there is to this situation. The singer questions if this incident is being recorded historically and if there is a tape.

This song talks about something that is happening secretly, and nobody will ever know about it. The singer then questions why the other person is listening to them even when nobody is talking. This song seems to be about a relationship that is happening secretly between two people. The singer is talking about how simple and yet dangerous it is to keep their little secret. The chorus repeats the lines "what is there to know?" and "you and me alone" three times, emphasizing the simplicity of their relationship.

Overall, the song seems to be about how easy it is to find comfort in someone else, regardless of the circumstances. The lyrics talk about something that is happening in secret, which gives it an air of danger, but the singer seems to be content with the sheer simplicity of their relationship.

I’ll never forget the first time I heard this song. In the airport coming back from Seattle in 2005. I was hooked right there and then. As soon as I found out who the band was I ran out and bought this album. Every track is absolute gold and it gets played from time to time.

@fasttrack70

Meliksah Altuntas'in az TT'sinden duydum geldim.

Totalmente cierto. Cuando vienen a México.

@aramledezma4230

@paolarubio2817

Saludos.

@ElinGomezRonzon

@ezrimartinez5947

@cesarramirezsanchez6475

Saludos.

This is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard, and it made me want to quit my job and start a three-piece band where we sit around on the floor and play acoustic guitar. I haven't given up on that dream yet.
