Milk
Kings of Leon Lyrics

Salty leave, salty leave

Tell me the one about the friend you knew
And the last good night that we toasted too

Salty leave
Stay for me, stay for me

We drank wine in the matinee
And the spotlight showed what it chased away

Stay for me

She saw my comb over, her hourglass body
She has problems with drinking milk
And being school tardy
She'll loan you her toothbrush
She'll bar tend your party

Kill me, kill me

I called and called, but I can't get through
Said he's on his own, but his own is you

Kill me

She saw my comb over, her hourglass body
She has problems with drinking milk
And being school tardy
She'll loan you her toothbrush
She'll bar tend your party

She saw my comb over, her hourglass body
She has problems with drinking milk
And being school tardy
She'll loan you her toothbrush
She'll bar tend your party

Salty leave, salty leave

Salty leave,
Stay for me, stay for me

We drank wine in the matinee
And the spotlight showed what it chased away

Stay for me

She saw my comb over, her hourglass body
She has problems with drinking milk
And being school tardy
She'll loan you her toothbrush
She'll bar tend your party

Kill me, kill me

I called and called, but I can't get through,
Said he's on his own, but his own is you

She'll bar tend your party

She saw my comb over, her hourglass body
She has problems with drinking milk
And being school tardy
She'll loan you her toothbrush
She'll bar tend your party

now this is the Kings of Leon I know and love, I was in a new high school when I was first shown Kings of Leon by a friend who is still my friend to this day, such a sound track to my coming of age, Joe's head, taper jean girl, red morning light, on call, charmer, classics tunes, I think they went way too commercial with their sound, I miss the dirtiness the songs and vocals had. while I'm here I wanna throw my friend some love for all the good times, he's a music producer now and has just released a banging dirty indie tune, try searching Lonely Gimmick - Grumpy Days, it's seriously one of the best new indie tracks Ive heard in a while,

Adam-Boona

Their third album was the begining of the end of their reign as Kings. I feel from the third album onwards they were only Princes with a few homages scattered here and there. I imagine they love the money that came with their more mainstream approach but I wonder if they have moved people the way they did with their first andecond album?

Agreed. I loved KOL’s first two albums, and to an extent their third, but as soon as Jacquire King started producing their albums they went mainstream and they lost something. The same thing happened with Cold War Kids.

This will always be my favorite song by them
