He spent eight years in Nashville before signing a record deal with MCA Nashville. His debut single, "Mary Was the Marrying Kind", peaked at #45 on the country singles charts published by Billboard.
On September 27, 2011, he released his second single, "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck". The song was followed by the release of his debut album Up All Night in April 2012. Moore co-wrote every song on the album, and Brett James produced it. A month later, "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck" hit #1 on the Billboard country charts. "Beer Money" was the album's second single, followed by "Hey Pretty Girl". These songs also reached the country Top 5. Up All Night was the most commercially successful album for a debut country male artist in both 2012 and 2013.
Moore co-wrote two tracks on Thompson Square's self-titled debut album which was released in February 2011: "All the Way" and "Let's Fight", the latter of which was their debut single. He also co-wrote James Wesley's 2012 single "Walking Contradiction". He also co-wrote Frankie Ballard's 2016 single "Cigarette".
In October 2013, Moore announced his fifth single, "Young Love". It charted at #22 on the Country Airplay in March 2014. After it underperformed, it was followed by "Dirt Road", which failed to make Top 40. Moore then decided to "scrap" his second album and compose new material. Moore then released "I'm to Blame", the lead single to his 2015 album, Wild Ones.
On February 10, 2017, Moore released "More Girls Like You" as the lead single from a then-unannounced forthcoming album.
On June 21, 2017, Moore announced the album's title, Slowheart, and its release date of September 8, 2017.
On November 16, 2018, Moore released his second EP titled Room to Spare: The Acoustic Sessions. Three singles were released in preparation for the EP: "Tennessee Boy," an acoustic version of "Plead the Fifth," and "It Ain't California." The EP consists of seven acoustic tracks.
In May 2019, Moore announced on social media "That's a wrap, record #4 is done". No release date had been officially announced, but on June 15 Moore announced he was checking mixes for his upcoming record, indicating the record may be released sometime in 2019.
On August 9, 2019, Moore released a much-anticipated lead single to his yet to be named upcoming album. "She's Mine" is a song Moore wrote over a decade ago, and finally released it in 2019.
On March 27, 2020, Moore released the title track for his fourth studio album titled Wild World. Later that same day, Moore did an interview with Billboard about his new album. The album, which consists of 13 tracks (twelve of which are co-written by Moore), was released on May 29, 2020. Another preview song, "Southpaw", followed on April 17, 2020.
Comeback Kid
Kip Moore Lyrics

And I'll get where I'm going
'Cause I know where I've been
When it all goes south, I'm gonna rise again
Just call me the comeback kid
I'm a hail Mary pass on homecoming night
Six points down with the clock ticking by
Just call me the comeback kid
(Oh, oh, oh) girl, I'm glad that you never did
(Oh, oh, oh) lose faith in this comeback kid
Baby, all life's bullets I've took to the chest
Should've buried me alive, should've left me dead
But when I reach for that white flag
You won't let me quit
And you call me the comeback kid
(Oh, oh, oh) girl, I'm glad that you never did
(Oh, oh, oh) lose faith in this comeback kid
Someday I'm gonna get you that white picket fence
And that little pink house just like Mellencamp said
'Cause I want to taste the good life
Before the Lord puts us to bed
Girl, keep holding on, keep hangin' in
(Oh, oh, oh) don't ever do what you never did
(Oh, oh, oh) don't give up on this comeback kid
(Oh, oh, oh) girl, I'm glad that you never did
(Oh, oh, oh) lose faith in this comeback kid
Just keep holding on
Just keep holding on
Just keep holding on
In "Comeback Kid," Kip Moore sings about being resilient and determined in the face of adversity. The opening lines of the song, "I'm a new used car with a couple dents / And I'll get where I'm going / 'Cause I know where I've been," depict someone who has been through tough times and has learned from those experiences. The metaphor of a car with a few dents suggests that the person may have been bruised or scarred along the way but is still capable of getting to their destination. Even when things go wrong, the person is confident that they can "rise again" and bounce back. This is a message of hope and perseverance that will resonate with many listeners who have faced challenges in their lives.
The chorus, "Just call me the comeback kid," emphasizes the person's resilience and determination. They are not someone who gives up easily but instead rises to the challenge and believes that they can win. This is reinforced in the second verse when Kip sings, "Baby, all life's bullets I've took to the chest / Should've buried me alive, should've left me dead / But when I reach for that white flag / You won't let me quit." This suggests that there have been times when the person has felt defeated or overwhelmed but has refused to give up. The strong support of a loved one is also acknowledged in the song, as Kip thanks the girl for never losing faith in him and encourages her to keep holding on.
Overall, "Comeback Kid" is an uplifting song that celebrates resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. It reminds us that even when we face setbacks or challenges, we have the strength to bounce back and keep going.

I would dedicate this to my wife. She was with me through the rock bottom years and accepted me and all my demons. Continues to believe in me. I was able to give her the nice house, and whatever she wants. We will all bounce back, cause we are all comeback kids.
