More Girls Like You
Kip Moore Lyrics

Well, I've been living like a wild old mustang
Out in Montana fields
Might've earned me a bad reputation
But never stopped these wheels
From going and rolling too far
Running and gunning a little too hard
So un-reigned, so untamed, yeah
So God made girls like you make guys like me
Wanna reach for the brightest star, set it on a ring
Put it on your hand, grab a piece of land
And raise a few
More girls like you

Your soul is pure golden
Must've been true love you were grown in
Sent the sun rays to a dark place
On the same day, yeah, God made

Girls like you make guys like me
Wanna reach for the brightest star, set it on a ring
Put it on your hand, grab a piece of land
And raise a few, yeah
More girls like you

More girls like you

It's been a while since I stopped and prayed
But Lord have mercy look at her
He sure didn't make no mistake when he put that angel on Earth
Yeah, God made

Girls like you make guys like me
Wanna reach for the brightest star, set it on a ring
Put it on your hand, grab a piece of land
And raise a few, yeah
More girls like you
More girls like you
More girls like you

Yeah
More girls like you
Yeah

More girls like you
Yeah

Overall Meaning

Kip Moore's "More Girls Like You" is basically a love song dedicated to the woman of his dreams. He begins to brag about his wild ways, but later admits that he's looking for someone to tame him, someone like the girl he's singing to. The first stanza speaks of the freedom he's enjoyed living like an untamed mustang in the open fields of Montana. He admits that such a lifestyle could have earned him a bad reputation, but it didn't stop him from living life on his own terms. The second stanza is where he acknowledges his need for a good woman. He praises his lady's qualities as immaculate, like her soul is pure gold. Kip Moore draws a parallel between the day his girl was born, and the day God sent sun rays to a dark place.

In the hook, he declares that girls like the one he is singing to make guys like him want to take risks and strive to reach the stars. He symbolizes this craving with wanting to put the brightest star on a ring and place it on her finger. The song is essentially an ode to good women, a tribute to their beauty, strength, and ability to shape better men. It's worth noting that although Kip Moore was famous for his rough-around-the-edges image, the song shows a softer side of the country musician.
