He spent eight years in Nashville before signing a record deal with MCA Nashville. His debut single, "Mary Was the Marrying Kind", peaked at #45 on the country singles charts published by Billboard.
On September 27, 2011, he released his second single, "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck". The song was followed by the release of his debut album Up All Night in April 2012. Moore co-wrote every song on the album, and Brett James produced it. A month later, "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck" hit #1 on the Billboard country charts. "Beer Money" was the album's second single, followed by "Hey Pretty Girl". These songs also reached the country Top 5. Up All Night was the most commercially successful album for a debut country male artist in both 2012 and 2013.
Moore co-wrote two tracks on Thompson Square's self-titled debut album which was released in February 2011: "All the Way" and "Let's Fight", the latter of which was their debut single. He also co-wrote James Wesley's 2012 single "Walking Contradiction". He also co-wrote Frankie Ballard's 2016 single "Cigarette".
In October 2013, Moore announced his fifth single, "Young Love". It charted at #22 on the Country Airplay in March 2014. After it underperformed, it was followed by "Dirt Road", which failed to make Top 40. Moore then decided to "scrap" his second album and compose new material. Moore then released "I'm to Blame", the lead single to his 2015 album, Wild Ones.
On February 10, 2017, Moore released "More Girls Like You" as the lead single from a then-unannounced forthcoming album.
On June 21, 2017, Moore announced the album's title, Slowheart, and its release date of September 8, 2017.
On November 16, 2018, Moore released his second EP titled Room to Spare: The Acoustic Sessions. Three singles were released in preparation for the EP: "Tennessee Boy," an acoustic version of "Plead the Fifth," and "It Ain't California." The EP consists of seven acoustic tracks.
In May 2019, Moore announced on social media "That's a wrap, record #4 is done". No release date had been officially announced, but on June 15 Moore announced he was checking mixes for his upcoming record, indicating the record may be released sometime in 2019.
On August 9, 2019, Moore released a much-anticipated lead single to his yet to be named upcoming album. "She's Mine" is a song Moore wrote over a decade ago, and finally released it in 2019.
On March 27, 2020, Moore released the title track for his fourth studio album titled Wild World. Later that same day, Moore did an interview with Billboard about his new album. The album, which consists of 13 tracks (twelve of which are co-written by Moore), was released on May 29, 2020. Another preview song, "Southpaw", followed on April 17, 2020.

Thinking back your mom did too
Two wrongs never felt so right
It was written in the stars, for two young and wild at hearts
Sneak out late into the night
You'd climb in and take my hand
And you'd slide on over, on over and we'd ride
When the radio plays you sing along
When she's holding on
You just can't get close enough, you swear it's sent from above
It's real, it's good, and it's young love
Remember that time you was supposed to be at your friend Kate's and not with me
In Panama City a hundred miles away
And that damned old truck of mine broke down, your old man cussed me out
And swore thats the last I'd see your face
But I'd pull into your neighbor's drive and cut the lights,
And you'd slide on over, on over and we'd ride
'Cause young love don't know nothin'
When the radio plays you sing along
When she's holding on
You just can't get close enough, you swear it's sent from above
It's real, its good, and it's young love
There was really no way of knowing
But look at us baby, we're still going
'Cause young love don't know nothin'
When the radio plays you sing along
All damn night long
You just can't get close enough, you swear,
It's sent from above
It's real, it's good
And it's still young love
Young love
In Kip Moore's song "Young Love," the lyrics describe the passionate and reckless nature of young love. The song starts with a reflection on the doubts that both of their parents had about their relationship, but despite this, the love between them was too strong to resist. The chorus emphasizes the strength and purity of young love, as it doesn't know any boundaries and is repeatedly symbolized by their passion for music, embodied by the radio playing and them singing along.
The second verse of the song reminisces a time when the lovers were not supposed to meet, and they faced obstacles such as a broken-down truck and angry parents. However, despite multiple challenges, they still managed to meet, drive through the night, and express their love through their actions. The final verse of the song reflects on their lasting love, and how they continue to defy the odds, remaining together despite society's expectations.
Overall, the song captures the rawness and authenticity of youthful love, with its reckless energy, unbridled passion, and unshakeable confidence that such love often brings.

Your daddy thought I was wrong for you,
Your father expressed his skepticism towards our relationship,
Thinking back your mom did too
What your mother thought about our love was similar to your father’s concerns,
Two wrongs never felt so right
Despite our parents’ judgement, being together feels right and perfect for us,
It was written in the stars, for two young and wild at hearts
Our love seems fated and meant to be, considering our youth and passionate attitudes,
Sneak out late into the night
We often choose to leave our homes secretly during evening hours,
You'd climb in and take my hand
You would enter my vehicle and hold my hand,
And you'd slide on over, on over and we'd ride
Then, you'd move your body closer to mine and we'd embark on a trip together,
'Cause young love don't know nothin'
Young love can be naive and inexperienced,
When the radio plays you sing along
We love listening and singing to songs when they play on the radio,
When she's holding on
When you hold me in your arms,

I recall a time when you told your parents you would be at your friend Kate's, but instead, we were together,
In Panama City a hundred miles away
We were far away from our homes in Panama City,
And that damned old truck of mine broke down, your old man cussed me out
Unfortunately, my truck broke down, and your father was angry and resentful towards me for taking you away from home,
And swore thats the last I'd see your face
He threatened that I would never see you again,
But I'd pull into your neighbor's drive and cut the lights,
I cleverly took another route and shut off the headlights of my car to avoid being caught,
all damn night long
We spent the entire night talking and spending time in each other's company,
There was really no way of knowing
We could have never predicted that our futures would be together,
But look at us baby, we're still going
Despite the challenges we faced, we are still together and our love has lasted,
It's still young love
Our love is still young, but enduring,

This song reminds me of my wife and I. We started dating when we were 15. It reminds me of all the fighting we did to stay together and the fighting her parents did to keep us apart. Well, 15 years and 4 kids later were still here and her parents have been divorced for 10 years.

@Tiffany Shaffer You two are so very very fortunate. Going through life without that special person makes one feel he or she is really getting a bad deal. I can say I am honestly happy for you two.
