When I finally get home I turn on the TV
I've reached my dwelling and switch on the TV

The undead on the evening news is all I can see
Only sighted upon the news are the undead

So I pop in a movie and I try to relax
In attempts to unwind, I commence a film

Listen to me while I tell you some facts
Allow me to expound empirical evidence

The Zombie Apocalypse is messing up my week
The Zombie Apocalypse is negatively impacting my week

The internet is always down, Can't update the Twitter stream
Internet never functions properly and tweeting's not feasible

It wouldn't be so bad, If these zombies hadn't bitten my mom & dad
The situation would be practically tolerable if these zombies hadn't bitten mom and dad

I decapitated them and now they're buried in back
I beheaded them and they currently rest in backyards soil

I called my friend to see if he could come by my place
I called my friend to solicit his companionship

By the time he reached my door he was missing his face
Upon arrival, his face had been stripped from his visage

I feel kind of bad that I did not let him in
I remorsefully refused to permit him entry

But without his lips he still had a grin
Although his lips were absent, he still managed to smile

It's hard to watch the Daily Show, Over all the cries and screams
The Daily Show is difficult to watch among all the piercing shrieks

Zombie Apocalypse, I'd rather fight a shark
Fighting off sharks appears preferred rather than the Zombie Apocalypse

I read in a book that you can punch 'em in the eye
One publication suggested punching the zombie wicked in the eye

But sharks aren't my problem, yeah, and zombies are
Sharks aren't a concern of mine, but certainly zombies are

I've never seen so many girls outside without their clothes on
I've never once observed the pervasiveness of unclad females outdoors

Normally I'd think that's awesome but it's actually a turn off
Though generally, it's impressive, but currently, it's off-putting

Cause I'm not into necrophilia, that's a fact
As established knowledge, I needn't indulge in necrophilia

Zombies moving slow, I feel like Jackie Joyner Kersey
The zombies move leisurely essentially creating an easier scenario for me

Like the popular kid in school and everybody wants a piece of me
It's similar to being the popular student at school where everyone wants a piece of attention

But they can't, cause I like my pieces intact
Their desire remains unfulfilled as I prefer to keep my parts attached

It's getting kinda lonely out here by myself
It's increasingly lonely when alone outside

Food's running low, there's dust on the shelf
Scarcity of nourishment present, additionally, shelves are dusty

But at least I have the voices arguing in my head
However, inner dialogue provides company but not always positively

Which is much better than being undead
Recent companionship within my mind exceeds the bleak reality of being lifeless
