Fuck you tryna to play me?
Girl, just cause we're fucking, that doesn't mean we
Why the fuck you're trying to play me?
Why the fuck you're trying to play me?
Girl, just cause we're fucking, that don't make you my lady
Fuck you try to play me?
Fuck you try to play me?
But I know you nigga is shady
What a fuck you're trying to play me, dawg?
Ain't got the time to sit around and play with ya'll
You hate me cause I made it dawg
I guess the right thing for me to do right now is to wait for ya'll
No fuck that, I'mma walk up in this mother fucker with my hands up
Put my hands up
Makin all these motherfuckers put their hands up
If they ask for a nigga from the ghetto
motherfucker that'll kill motherfuckers I'mma stand up
I know some girls that said they can't
I know some girls that can't stand us
But this is because we met, we fucked
And every time they call I don't answer
Don't play me
Cause you know that if I was there right now
Bitch you would try to see me
Yeah, fuck your friends, and your fucked ass man wanna beat me
And Stacy I used to love her, she was there before I blow up
But I guess I, I just been gone too long
Or I guess I've been holding on too long
Or maybe, I've been putting on too long
Whatever it is, or what it might be
You got a man or acting like you Shady
I enjoyed the moments, and girl you made me smile
I just wish that you was here with me right now!
Not really, I'm just pissed cause you ain't down
Like you said you would, like you said you would
And I fucked it up like you said I would
And I knew I would but don't be trying to play me!
Don't be trying to play me
Say don't be trying to play me
Don't be trying to play me!
And my family, I love family
But the world mean more is embarrassing
They been drop my name, drop my name
Talking about that I'm about to drop that chain
I'm the same old nigga, got the same old digits
But everybody about to make me change on niggas
Change on niggas, change on niggas!
So you people didn't know me 'till you niggas started baling
I just spent ten in this strip club
Walking the day, and these bitches acting like they don't know me
I think my new bitch really want me
But she would... I ain't tripping cause my homie
But she wanna fuck, I ain't really wanna fuck
Cause the bitch walked up saying don't be trying to play me
Don't be trying to play me
Don't be trying to play me
The song Play Me by Kirko Bangz features a narrative about a woman who is trying to manipulate him, despite their sexual relationship. The repetition of the lyrics "why the fuck you're trying to play me?" highlights his frustration with her actions. Despite their intimate relationship, he is adamant that it does not make her his "lady." He reveals that he has experienced this kind of behavior from women before - acting like they are his girlfriend, but then getting angry when he does not treat them like one. He acknowledges his mistakes in the relationship, but ultimately blames her for trying to manipulate him.
The song also includes references to his rise to fame and how he feels like people are trying to change him. He feels like his family is embarrassed by him and that people only know him because of his success. He resents the way people are treating him and is not willing to change for anyone.
Overall, Play Me is a song about power dynamics, manipulation, and the struggle to maintain one's identity in the face of external pressures.
