As an independent band, Kiros has successfully released a 2002 full length record (Counterproductive), and 2 E.P.s (Fight the Night 2004, Kiros 2005). In 2004, two music videos were released which saw tons of airplay on Much Music, and fought their way into rotation on Much Loud and MTV Canada on the shoulders of their fans' overwhelming call in and e-mail requests. Their Fight the Night e.p. was distributed nationally throughout Canada in HMV stores.
Their proven track record of dedication, hard work, and passion speaks volumes, as does their countless thousands of rabid, loyal fans. Their reputation as a tight and energetic live band does precede them wherever they go, but it is truly the message in the music that separates Kiros from the pack. In a time and place where songs of broken hearts and self defeat fill the airwaves, Kiros carries a message of hope, purpose, worth, and destiny. But these arent just lines in a song; its lived out by the members of the band, and the fans are hungry for it. Listeners come to Kiros to find more then just great songs, gripping melodies, musical ingenuity, captivating hooks and tight feels. They find anthems to rise up alongside, to take back their souls, and sense their worth.
Their new album, "A Single Strand" can be found across stores in Canada and on itunes!

Kiros Lyrics

It's in moments of fear
When everything's obvious
And everything's clear
The weight of the world
It comes crashing down
The silence is deafening
As we hit the ground
So why did we chase
What can't satisfy
We lied to ourselves
And said everything's fine
But we can't run from this, this time
Would somebody wake me up
Somebody wake me up
Someone wake me up
From this nightmare I've designed.
These tears have a reason
Confession flows down
Like mighty spring rivers
This season will drown
New hope for tomorrow
And new lessons learned
We'll live this with purpose
As history books burn
And they will burn
Somebody wake me up
Somebody wake me up
Someone wake me up
Will you wake me up
'Cause I tried to do this all alone
I need your strength and not my own
I tried to do this all alone
I need your strength and not my own
And not my own
Somebody wake me up
Somebody wake me up
Someone wake me up
From this nightmare I've designed
Somebody wake me up
Somebody wake me up
Someone wake me up
From this nightmare I've designed
In Kiros's song S.O.S, the lyrics depict the feeling of being lost and overwhelmed, and the struggle to deal with those emotions alone. The first verse highlights how moments of fear can be all-encompassing, making everything clear and obvious, but also driving the weight of the world upon oneself. This ultimately leads to a crushing defeat and a feeling of despair as if everything has come to an end. The chorus is a cry for help, wishing someone would wake the singer up from the nightmare they designed themselves.
The second verse is a continuation of the theme of despair and doubt, with the lyrics about tears and confession flowing down like mighty rivers. The lyrics suggest that the current season of waves and tears in one's life will drown them, but with new hope for tomorrow, they will move ahead with the lessons they have learned, living with purpose, and making the history books burn. The song ends with the repeated appeal for someone to wake the singer up as they recognize that they cannot handle everything alone and need the strength of others to carry on.

It's in moments like these
During difficult times
It's in moments of fear
Especially during moments of fear
When everything's obvious
When it seems clear what is happening
And everything's clear
When the situation is easy to understand
The weight of the world
Massive pressure and responsibility
It comes crashing down
Suddenly and harshly
The silence is deafening
The lack of sound is overwhelming
As we hit the ground
As things come crashing down
And we'll hit the ground
The impact of these difficult moments
So why did we chase
Why did we pursue
What can't satisfy
Things that can't make us happy or fulfilled
We lied to ourselves
We pretended to be okay
And said everything's fine
Even when things are not going well
But we can't run from this, this time
We can't avoid facing the situation, this time
Would somebody wake me up
I need help to face reality
Somebody wake me up
I need someone to help me snap out of this
Someone wake me up
Anyone who can help me wake up
From this nightmare I've designed.
From this self-created, terrible situation
These tears have a reason
My tears are not just random
Confession flows down
I'm ready to admit my mistakes
Like mighty spring rivers
Like powerful and unstoppable forces of nature
This season will drown
These difficult times will overwhelm me
New hope for tomorrow
I can still find hope for the future
And new lessons learned
I will take away valuable lessons from this situation
We'll live this with purpose
We will find meaning in this experience
As history books burn
As we move forward from this chapter of our lives
And they will burn
The past will no longer have power over us
'Cause I tried to do this all alone
I attempted to handle this by myself
I need your strength and not my own
I need someone else's support and help
And not my own
My own strength is not enough
From this nightmare I've designed
From this self-created, terrible situation
