1. Kiss Kiss was an indie rock band that emerged from Milton's SUNY Purchase. The group was formed by Joshua Benash (guitar, synth, and vocals) and Jared Karns (drums) after the members had participated in various college bands. The name Kiss Kiss is derived from a series of short stories by Roald Dahl. Although their music is primarily rock in style, it also includes an electric violin that adds an orchestral sound to many songs. The contrasts within Kiss Kiss' songwriting and vocals have also been described as extremely frantic at times, yet melodic and soothing at others. This unusual variety of styles has helped the band's music to appeal to a wide audience.
The band's first release was a self-titled EP--initially released independently in 2004, it would be re-released on Eyeball Records with new artwork on October 11th, 2005. Their debut album, Reality vs. the Optimist, was officially released on February 6, 2007.
The band's second album, The Meek Shall Inherit What's Left, was released on July 7th, 2009.
2. On March 25, 2023, at the conclusion of WACK Audition Camp 2023 the formation of Kiss Kiss was announced. The group consists of six members of Gang Parade. Their first digital single, "Kisses", was released on April 17. On June 21, they released their debut album, First Album.
Plague #11
Kiss Kiss Lyrics

I know that I can take them as they swarm
And claw, I fall
And hurt myself
And all that you can be was in your mind
All these birds and worms
As they are falling from the skyThey hurt and burn
Plague 11, you are the worst
And all that you can be was in your mind
And all that you can be was in your
(You've got to trust yourself)
And all that you can be was in your mind
And all that you can be was in your mind
And all that you can be was in your
(You've got to trust yourself)
And all that you can be was in your
The lyrics of Kiss Kiss's song "Plague #11" depict a sense of strength and resilience in the face of adversity. The opening lines, "Oh, I'm strong, and brawn / I know that I can take them as they swarm," suggest a confident and powerful mindset. However, despite this strength, there is a vulnerability that is revealed in the line "And claw, I fall / And hurt myself." This vulnerability emphasizes that even the strongest individuals can experience moments of weakness and pain.
The repetition of the line "And all that you can be was in your mind" throughout the lyrics can be interpreted in a couple of ways. On one hand, it could imply that one's true potential lies within their own thoughts and mindset. It suggests that the power to overcome challenges and be the best version of oneself is within one's own control. On the other hand, it could also be seen as a reflection on the limits of one's capabilities. The phrase "And all that you can be" indicates that there may be limitations or boundaries to what one can achieve, and perhaps these limitations are solely created by the confines of one's own mind.
The references to birds and worms falling from the sky and the mention of "Plague 11" introduces a more abstract and metaphorical element to the lyrics. It could symbolize the constant struggles and hardships faced in life, which can bring hurt and pain. The repetition of the phrase "And all that you can be was in your mind" towards the end reinforces the message that one's thoughts and beliefs play a significant role in how they navigate through these challenges.
