He was driving to Indiana late at night for another delivery.

The hours flew by like minutes
time had passed swiftly.

It was time he had to go
He had to leave at that moment.

On a rainy highway halfway out of town
On a rainy highway halfway to his destination.

A voice inside his heart said turn those 18 wheels around...
He felt an inner voice telling him to turn his truck around.

And go back
To turn back around and return.

You got somebody waiting
He had someone important waiting for him at his previous location.

That's where you need to be... right now
He realized that's exactly where he needed to be at that moment.

There's nothing in this world more important than that
He understood that nothing in this world was as important as returning back to his loved one.

So go back
He made the decision to turn back and return to his loved one.

They settled down in a little house
They started living together in a small house.

In the spring of '92
This happened in the Spring of 1992.

And She quit her job at the diner
She stopped working at the diner.

With the baby almost due
As their baby was about to be born soon.

Those early years weren't easy
The initial years were difficult for them.

And they had bills to pay
They had financial commitments to fulfill.

So he said you know I hate to leave you but I'll be back by Saturday
He expressed that he did not want to leave, but he needed to be away for work until Saturday.

10 miles out of Tulsa
10 miles away from Tulsa.

His boss came on his radio
His employer contacted him through the radio.

Said if you wanna see your brand new daughter
The boss informed him that if he wanted to see his new daughter,

You better drop that load
he needed to drop off the consignment and return back.

Everybody heard the sirens
Everyone heard the sound of the emergency vehicles.

They pulled his rig out of the snow
They towed his truck out of the snow.

In a rush to see his family
He was eager to meet his family.

Somehow he lost control
Unfortunately, he lost control of his vehicle.

Though the doctors tried to save him
Although the doctors attempted to revive him.

He slipped into the light
He passed away.

But then he heard the angels whisper... Now is not your time
He heard the voice of the angels telling him that it was not his time to depart.
