@edcellwarrior Have they succeeded? Time will tell. They both released EPs which we can properly say are EDM based, so perhaps if they keep scoring on that market without pulling the breaks, they should. I definitely see it as a possibility in the future.

Skrollex I think the most interesting thing about this comment is that Skrillex maintained some level of relevance, and even went back to making good music, while Knife Party is also still going, but is nowhere near as relevant as they used to be. Both bands kinda fell off and are trying to make a comeback now

To me Abandon Ship just highlights the diversity and skill that knife party has collated over the years in a multitude of genres. I especially enjoyed the Pendulum callback of "Begin Again."

@***** I know what you mean. I personally love bonfire, internet friends, those old KP songs. But there are 2 things to point out
1- Nobody heard the full album yet. We don't know if it's going to be party songs like those i mention or not
2- We have to accept that artists sometimes change their style, try to do new ones, and who knows, maybe if this album doesn't have that energic songs of previous albums, they might be going back to that style in the next one they make
