With the electrifying singles “Change Your Mind,” “(Let’s Get) Higher,” and “Trap Door,” the group showcases a knack for seamlessly combining the sugar-rush of 80’s synth-pop with the stark realism of underground hip-hop. Hot on the heels of their self-titled debut record, the duo has remained feverishly busy, re-mixing a song for indie shoegazers New Ghosts and collaborating with the IDM/downtempo crew Aeroshell on a Split EP. “With the music we’re making now,” says singer and producer Steve Pahl, “I feel like we’re throwing the biggest thinking-man’s dance party around.”
