Band's founders were Marek Andrzej „Ordynat Michorowski” Michorzewski - lyrics' author, privately psychiatrist, and his patient Andrzej „Kobra” Kraiński - vocalist and guitarist.
Kobranocka plays music descended from punk-rock with very characteristic, black-humour lyrics. The biggest hit is ballad „Kocham cię jak Irlandię” („I love you like Ireland”) and has nothing in common with Kobranocka's style.

The band's name is a joke itself being a blend of the name "Kobra" (Cobra) and "dobranocka" (children's "good-night" TV show).
