The song "Scandal" by Koe begins with the singer reminiscing about the past and watching the rain while standing at a busy intersection. Even though she could hide in the rain, there's still something that she can’t escape. In a city overflowing with things, she still feels unfulfilled. She didn't finish watching a rental movie and feels like she needs to return it. Then, she wonders if the person she used to know still remembers her at all, and if she remembers them too.
The singer goes on to describe how she can't seem to make her voice heard, despite being there all the time. She doesn't feel like anyone ever really understands her or what she's trying to say. She reflects on how she smiled and said goodbye to someone she liked for the first time in a long time, but then noticed that she had already walked away. She feels invisible and wonders if she will ever be able to see the person she's speaking to again.
The song continues with the singer feeling lost and unsure of what to do next. She stares blankly at the TV screen and the names stored in her phone but still feels disconnected from the world around her. She notes that she laughed when she heard a happy voice, even though she didn't know whose it was. The song ends with the singer saying she wants to return to the past, but she can’t. She's still searching for tomorrow and trying to find hope in it.
