Koffin Kats were formed in 2003 by lead singer and upright bassist Vic Victor and guitarist/vocalist Tommy Koffin, who had been part of the Motor City punk scene for some time before trying their hands at the doom-struck twang of their punk-rockabilly fusion. The band has had a number of drummers come and go over the years, with Damian Detroit having the longest run (from 2003 to 2005); Katch (aka the "other" Goat); and E-Ball Walls, who played with the Kats for a spell in 2003, and rejoined the lineup in 2007. The trio released their first album, simply titled "Koffin Kats", in 2004, and hit the road in support of the record.
Since then, the Koffin Kats have maintained a busy tour schedule, frequently gigging on the West Coast as well as closer to home, and have released three more long-players, 2005's "Inhumane", 2006's "Straying From the Pack" and 2008's "Drunk in the Daylight". And in October of 2009 Released "Forever for Hire”
In Early 2010 saw the departure of Guitarist Tommy Koffin, and he was replaced by EZ Ian and now they are working on another album that is expected be out in late 2010 on Stomp Records
Maneater
Koffin Kats Lyrics

The lean and hungry type.
Nothing is new, I've seen it here before.
Watching and Waiting.
Oo, she'll sin with you but her eyes are on the door.
So maybe you'll pay to see what you think you're getting for free.
The woman is wild, she can tame by the purr of a jaguar.
Money's a matter.
Woah, here she comes.
Watch out boy she'll chew you up.
Woah, here she comes.
She's a maneater.
Woah, here she comes.
Watch out boy she'll chew you up.
Woah, here she comes.
She's a man eater.
I wouldn't if I were you.
I know what she can do.
She's deadly, man.
She'll really rip your world apart.
Mind over matter.
Oo, the beauty is there, but the beast is in the heart.
Woah, here she comes.
Watch out boy she'll chew you up.
Woah, here she comes.
She's a maneater.
Woah, here she comes.
Watch out boy she'll chew you up.
Woah, here she comes.
She's a man eater. (guitar solo) Oo.
Woah, here she comes.
Watch out boy she'll chew you up.
Woah, here she comes.
She's a maneater.
Woah, here she comes.
Oo, she'll chew you up.
Woah, here she comes.
Here she comes.
She's a maneater.
Woah, here she comes.
She'll only come out at night.
Oo.
Woah, here she comes.
Here she comes, she's a maneater.
Woah, here she comes.
The woman's wild.
Oo.
Woah, here she comes.
Here she comes.
Watch out boy.
Watch out boy.
Woah, here she comes.
Oo.
Watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out.
Woah, here she comes.
Yeah yeah, she's a maneater.
Woah, here she comes. (She's a maneater).
She's watching and waiting.
Oo.
Woah, here she comes.
Woah, she's a man eater.
The song "Maneater" by Koffin Kats depicts the portrayal of a seductive and dangerous woman. The lyrics reveal that the woman only comes out at night, and she is the lean and hungry type. The singer has seen similar women before, and he knows that she's watching and waiting for her next prey. Although she may sin with her victims, her eyes are on the door, and she will leave them without any remorse. The woman is wild, and she can tame her prey with the purr of a jaguar. She's beautiful, but her inner beast is ruthless, which means she can destroy everything they know overnight.
The singer warns the listener not to fall for her trap as she's a real maneater. Although they may pay to see what they think they're getting for free, it'll only lead to disappointment. If you're in it for love, you won't get too far with her. The chorus of the song, "Woah, here she comes. Watch out boy, she'll chew you up. Woah, here she comes. She's a maneater" emphasizes the danger of the woman, and the singer advises the listener to be cautious around her.
