There have a been a few of Conan's Clueless gamer episodes where he or a joke has been put in the game only for the episode but not in the retail release. So there is some weight to actually being surprised when Conan or the joke does make it in the retail edition. So everyone chill out!

Ok so the game is awesome and everything, but what really surprised me and made me respect Hideo Kojima even more is that he Asked Conan if he wants to be in the game and then he actually got to be in the game. I mean how awesome of a person can you be to make such casual decisions like that for a game you're been developing and making for soooo long. Hats of for Kojima. Takes really heart to be so cool about that.

Most east asians are small and petite. That makes them look younger anyway. Also most men never go bald and if they go bald, maybe when they're around 60+. Also his nerdy clothes make him look younger, he dyes his hair (I'm not sure though, I saw close up photos of his hair and he had some white streaks, maybe he still has black hair) and he's worked all his life inside (sun makes skin wrinklier). You can see his neck is a bit wrinkly. Also Japanese skincare, food and lifestyle is healthier, so no wonder.

His tenure as Vice President of their games division was pretty terrible. While MGS did well, most of the other projects done under his leadership flopped or did badly. So profits made by the only successful IP were used to shore up badly spent money. While you can argue about how the bottom line shouldn't be all what its about, when you have a risky and sometimes unprofitable division in a large company and it underperforms of course they focused on what was making them money.
