Summer Sun
Koop Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey, Summer Sun
You always smile
Clouds in the sky
You never mind
Happy or sad
You always shine
Never before
I've met your kind

Love had never got a hold on me
Until you stepped out of a dream
My life once a misery
Now your love has set me free

Hey, Summer Sun
Your love's divine
Never before I've met your kind
And now you're mine

Hey, Summer Sun
You always smile
Clouds in the sky
You never mind
Happy or sad
You always shine
Never before
I've met your kind

Love had never got a hold on me
Until you stepped out of a dream
My life once a misery
Now your love has set me free

Hey, Summer Sun
Your love's divine

Never before I've met your kind
And now you're mine

The world needs more music like this.

@@peterrylander4465 I agree. Try finding the single "A New Balance" from the Album, A New Balance by Mark Sherman.1986. That's how hard it is to find something like this.

Bellissima atmosfera

@louise_rose

Lovely early -60s inspired song (the brass riff echoes "Milestones" and the rhythm tracks are very 1960s bossa-nova too). It's clearly a retro piece but dang, it carries it with grace, and still sounds fresh. :)

Hard to believe Yukimi Nagano was just a teen when she recorded this. Such a timeless voice and talent. I wish there was more music like this.

Story.... I heard this song sometime prior to 2003 being played at Barns & Nobel book store. I had no idea who or what it was, but I loved it. I never heard it again, but I never forgot the sound of it. Til last week. I'm in a diner, it starts playing. I immediately recognized it, and whipped out my phone to let Google hear it, and identify it.

Almost the same Story happened to me with this Song

This album got me through many days of darkness. Thank you Koop, all of the artists that collaborated, especially Ms. Nagano.
