The group was formed in January 1996 and broke up in 1999 due to conflicts between the two singers. They released one CD (Korea Girl, 1997; rereleased in 1999 with additional bonus tracks) and one 7" (Reunion, 1998) on Asian Man Records, and also appear on various Asian Man compilation CDs as well as a video/DVD.
Korea Girl's music was generally melodic and understated, featuring both male and female vocals and using clean (undistorted) guitars in the manner of such earlier indie rock groups as Blake Babies.

A trip inside my head
The storms they will never clear
As I'm chasing after the wind
Nothing left to say
Nowhere left to go now
Searched in god and man
Found everlasting pain
The same the same
The sun's beating down
The son descended down
Creator savior how you failed
Molded and made I'm just like you
Nothing more
Toiled the day away as I labor in vain
Finding love and happiness
In the meaningless games I play
All that is will be
All that's done was done before me
The wise man like the fool
Lies rotting underground he found
Nothing new nothing gained
The same the same
The lyrics of Korea Girl's song "Under the Sun" is a reflection of an individual's journey towards enlightenment. The first line, "Sailed around the world", depicts the process of seeking understanding and knowledge, characterized by an internal exploration of one's thoughts and emotions. In doing so, the individual realizes that regardless of where they go, the turmoil within cannot be resolved. The line "The storms they will never clear" symbolizes the struggles and conflicts that continue to plague one's life.
The lyrics further suggest that the journey for spiritual fulfilment is fraught with difficulty, as depicted by the line "As I'm chasing after the wind". Despite searching for answers in God and man, the individual is left with nothing but pain and emptiness. The song suggests that there is no new knowledge to be gained, as everything has been done and experienced before. The lines "All that is will be, all that's done was done before me" affirm the cyclic nature of life and the inevitability of death.
The chorus of the song acknowledges the futility of life's work as the individual toils "in vain". The line "Finding love and happiness in the meaningless games I play" suggests that the pleasures of life are fleeting and ultimately hollow. The song concludes with the realization that life is unchanging and that all knowledge and experience will eventually lead to the same end.
