Boomerang, soomerang, toomerang (boomerang, soomerang, toomerang)
Boomerang, soomerang, toomerang (boomerang, soomerang, toomerang)
The time has come to realize
What you are, what you've done inside
The time has come, we'll have something to talk aboutI will too
Looking back (dumb)
And now I realize (old man)
How much you really liked him (dumb)
This child's mind you terrorized (old man)
You came to him (dumb)
He really didn't know your lies (old man)
Now his innocence's gone (dumb)
He's that child you terrorized (old man)
This fucking thing that I feel, it came to me from you
This fucking thing that I feel, because of you
My childhood is gone because I loved you
My childhood is gone because I loved you
Be my neighbor
Looking back (child)
And now I realize (fucker)
How much you really loved him (child)
This child's mind you've hypnotized (fucker)
You came to him (child)
He really didn't know your lies (fucker)Now his innocence's gone (child)
I'm that child you terrorized (fucker)
This fucking thing that I feel, it came to me from you

Be my neighbor
Be my neighbor
My neighbor
Fred, you told me everybody was my neighbor
They took advantage of me, you let them take their turns hitting me
I wish I would have never watched you
You really made my childhood a failure
What a fucking neighbor
Fred, you told me everybody was my neighbor
They took advantage of me, you let them take their turns hitting me
I wish I would have never watched you
You really made my childhood a failure
What a fucking neighbor
I hate you, I will too
I hate you, I will too
I hate you, I will too
I hate you, I hate you
Be my neighbor
Be my neighbor
This fucking thing that I feel (be my neighbor)
This fucking thing that I feel
My childhood is gone

The song "Mr. Rogers" by Korn is a powerful commentary on the sexual abuse experienced by singer Jonathan Davis at the hands of his babysitter as a child. The lyrics express a mixture of anger, confusion, and sadness over the trauma that was inflicted on Davis, and also a sense of betrayal at the hands of Fred Rogers, whose children's TV show Davis watched as a child.
The opening lines of the song feature a repetition of the phrase "Boomerang, soomerang, toomerang," which could be interpreted as a representation of the cyclical nature of abuse. The rest of the lyrics delve into the pain of the abuse, with Davis expressing his anger and frustration towards the babysitter, and his disappointment in Mr. Rogers for not helping him.
The chorus of the song, "Be my neighbor," takes on a dark and menacing tone, as Davis seems to be taunting his abuser and demanding that they take responsibility for the harm that they caused. The repeated lines of "I hate you, I will too" serve as a poignant finale to the song, expressing the deep wounds that continue to linger from the trauma that was inflicted in childhood.
Overall, "Mr. Rogers" is a moving and powerful song that serves as a testament to the lasting impact of childhood trauma. It is a testament to the importance of sharing one's story and working towards healing and recovery.
