This Town
Korn Lyrics

Make up that face to win the race
Life's a bitch in this town
Suck my dick in this town
This town is our town
It is so glamorous
I'll bet you'll live here if you could
This town is our town
So fucking glamorous
I'll bet you'll live here if you could
And be one of us
Change our mind like we said before
We are dreamers, we are whores.
Discarded scars like worn out cars.
Litter the streets of this town
Litter the streets in this town
This town is our town
So fucking glamorous
I'll bet you'll live here if you could
And be one of us
This town is our town
So mother fucking glamorous
I'll bet you'd live here if you could
And be one of us
Break it down boys
Human waste in the house
Human waste in the house
Human waste in the house
Here we fucking go!
This town is our town
So fucking glamorous
I'll bet you'll live here if you could
And be one of us
This town is our town
So mother fucking glamorous
I'll bet you'll live here if you could
And be one of us
This town
This town

This town
The lyrics of Korn's song "This Town" reflect the band's criticism of the glamorous and superficial lifestyle of some people in Los Angeles. The opening lines talk about the "chosen toys, candy girls, and pretty boys" who put on a façade to win the acceptance of others. The next lines criticize the cut-throat, competitive nature of life in L.A., calling it a "bitch." The following lines express an invitation to live in this town if the listener could be one of "them," sarcastically highlighting the exclusivity and cliquishness of the L.A. social scene.
The next verse brings out the idea that people in the town are constantly changing their minds, and they are always in pursuit of their lofty dreams, even if it means selling themselves out. The idea of discarded scars also highlights that people here are expendable and disposable, much like cars that are written off as soon as they break down. The repeated chorus emphasizes that this town is glamorous, although it is painfully superficial, and that people can be welcomed only if they conform to the town's standards.
Overall the lyrics of "This Town" present a cynical view of the L.A. lifestyle, where people give in to the superficiality and exclusivity of society to fit in. The song's message is essentially that the glamour of the L.A.on life is little more than a superficial façade.

Listened to this when I was like 7 when I was getting into Korn/SOAD/Slipknot and used to laugh with my few metal friends about when she says "suck my dick in this town" like "OMG SHE MUST HAVE A DICK DUDE". Killer punk song though.
